Now I switched back to shell. I found that Petron did improve the the fuel economy for a few tanks. After that it's back to normal fuel consumption again.
Also, I have pumped 3 times with Petronas RON95 (all 3 different locations). I find that Petronas makes the car's vibration intrude into the cabin more obvious.
I'm not sure if this is mind over matter or what, but I feel that Petronas makes the car feel a little bit underpowered too when compared to Shell, Petron and BHP.
Hi there, my name is Adrian.
I am also a proud owner of the new Exora Bold Turbo
I would like to report my findings after switching from Shell to Petron.
Please note that my Exora is not a daily driven car ,its used only during weekends and used "only when necessary".
So it encounters less traffic jam conditions
I have been following your advice to try out Petron and it seems to improve FC on mixed driving.
Previously was on Shell and the FC was above 11litre/100km (pure city drive) . It (Shell) did went to near 8litres/100km on 100% long distance run (Subang - Setiawan) but the moment we hit the traffic jam + some idling,it shot back up to near 11litres/100km. However i noticed the FC is scary if its on Shell and purely 100% city drive.
Now as i reported, after using 2 fill up of Petron, it last clocked at 10.7Litres/100km This included 2 trips to KLIA2 to and fro, some city driving conditions (over the weekends), with 6 adults + baby. And oh, i try to keep my itchy foot as gentle as possible (okay la, sometimes got itchy play with the turbo)
Overall, i find getting below 11L/100km is acceptable for its size, weight, and turbo power. FYI my sis's 2.0L Kia Sportage SUV (old version with Hyundai Beta II engine) is getting slightly worse FC Than the Exora in town driving (and more underpower than Exora)
Thanks YouDontKnowMyName.
