Apart from the build proposed by Minecrafter, you can also consider the Bitfenix Shadow casing, RM229.

Gigabyte powerock 500w, sapphire r7 250x, 500gb seagate barracuda, 1x4gb kvr, 2x2gb kvr, monitor, kb/mouse, wifi adapter, speaker.

Btw, thank for the suggestion. Looks solid. I almost thinking about going with fx series.

Core i5 has better gaming performance compared to FX. You won't go wrong with it. Your other specs looks solid. smile.gif

Hi all! I'm planning on a rig right now to be made from somewhere within December 2014 to April 2014. I'll be using it as a Digital Audio Workstation whilst it being able to handle gaming. I know it's a long way to go, but I'd rather start on my list now then later.

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

These are my required components. If you know where to get the components for a really cheap price, do PM me  brows.gif

Location: Petaling Jaya
Budget: RM4500//
Usage: Gaming, Video Editing, Pro Audio Editing
Required list before: 15th December 2014

Thanks in advance!  thumbup.gif  thumbup.gif

I suggest that you wait till August 2014 at least to get a better quote, SSD and RAM price may drop, there's the new Intel chip coming soon, as well as new AMD chips as well

That's normal. The temp that would "fry" your GPU is above 90+. If below 90 it's considered normal.

Hi all, decided to build one desktop after my laptop died serving for 4 yrs. I am really outdated from recent hardware so decided to post here to get some help and advice from you all. ARIGATOOOO!!

[[Budget]
Wish to invest for 3-5yrs usage, so I will set my budget higher to 5k.

[Purpose]
Movies, wish to enjoy good quality of high end gaming experiences. No OC.

[Hardwares that will be re-use]
I have one unit of 120GB Samsung 840 evo SSD.

[Monitor resolution]
Probably will get a 23inch 1080p LED monitor, or any other recommendation?

[Games & softwares that use frequently]
Wish to learn some photo editing technique in the future.
Heard from my friend that watchdog is coming out soon? Gonna try that out!

[Personal preferences]
I5 is good enough? Or should I just go for i7?
Saw some comment of gtx780 is good in term of performance and noise. Ya I think I prefer quiet GC. hmm.gif

Thanks! icon_question.gif

Why not Xeon? But imo i5 is enough. So no need SSD? Full load on this one choo choo

Proc - i5-4440 RM 579
Mobo - Asrock B85 Killer RM 299
GPU - Zotac GTX 780 Ti AMP! RM 2390
HDD - 1TB WD Blue RM 189
PSU - Seasonic M12II 620w RM 359
RAM - 8GB Value RAM RM 229
Casing - Corsair Spec - 02 RM 205
Monitor - Dell S2340L RM 539

All for RM 4,819. Prices from Viewnet cept GPU from GBros and casing from Dotatech aka Lingloong.
Sorry just read the Photo Editing part. Optional can opt for another 8GB RAM for the rendering etc.

Depends, GPUs normally can take a whole lot more than that. AMD's Hawaii GPU is even designed to run at 95C.
