I know right.

The truth is, that company doesn't give a shit about basic salary and everything.

They're worst than a Chinaman company. ranting.gif

It's not a Chinaman company. It's a local Chinese-owned company. But the management and everything echoed a Chinaman company.

I worked there for almost 6 years. I quit last month. I opened a thread about that company. Check it out - https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/4436645.

Most important thing is...

Did you learn anything useful from there that can help you secure a job elsewhere?

Yes I do. I won't work with a small shitty company ever again. They have the worst management ever and stupid office rules.

One of the ridiculous rules is an employee can only take one annual leave per month. If you take more than one annual leave, your salary for that particular month will be deducted along with the extra days of annual leave that you took. ranting.gif

I highly doubt they can do that.

Did you try to report them?

That is one of their ridiculous rules and they implement it.

I don't report them because I've quit the company a month ago.

I actually think the punch card system is just shitty piece of crap system created ever.

I agree that we should take punctuality serious, but definitely not accumulation of one or two minutes in a working month...

Imagine this--> 20 working days, with one or two minutes late occasionally and add up to 30 minutes late in accumulation. HR will pass you a note and you have to work out this by clocking out late.

OR deduct salary.

WTH ???
So typical chinaman to the max.

I not sure why chinese mentality memang shitty, although my current company is already on the list (1ps@s) ,I still want to tell the story to express my dissatisfaction.

About one year ago when I join this company , my manager was a Romanian guy and he was really good. I joined this company because that time everything was so good like if you done your job nicely , you got the freedom and not bound by the "rules". After one year , mostly the foreign guy go back to their country and push some of the young malaysian to the management level , and shits start.

1. when client is the reason to make you OT even to 12 midnight , little compensation(RM25) is what you got and nth else.(can't finish the work will never be a reason for me to OT)

2. when it's near the time to go home and you done everything for the day(I am confident enough to say that I am a good programmer , as I never delay the deadline, with good quality and at this point had confirm with project manager that I have nothing left for today), he/she just wanna you stay back for no reason as that was the "rule" and try to throw some random staff to you. (squeeze you until dry, fuck the office rule)

3. Now I've feel why people are making thier work's ETA sibeh long and delaying their work until EOD sometimes, when she saw that you finished your work , he/she will squeeze his/her brain and try to make you busy again , sometimes takes other's job and throw to you and claim that others are busy and need your help, and it's by his/her own decision. I don't know why Chinese like to see how people act like sibeh rajin, instead of productivity, quite stupid.

4.Promotion? Nop. Plenty of senior already left the company, only some people that work with them since the company startup are manage to have continuous promotion, the new joiner mostly can only have "senior xxx" , which the pay are below the market rate.

Currently half of the programmer team are new as last year already got 5++ people leaving, guess some newbie will leave after sometimes.

I will jump out from this boat when 2 year full just to make my resume looks better.

Conclusion -> Low pay , high volume work , shitty management. This company will be a good start for fresh graduate(maybe not anymore), but after that will be a waste of time if staying too long.

It show your communication problem?

Actually how do we define communication problem?
Somehow I felt that I am not don't really well in talking to other colleagues. However, I do report on my duty to my manager from time to time.

Does chitchatting with other colleagues means good in communication? Or is it more important that you can communicate your results or job progress to superior?

I personally do not like to talk gossip or chat about something personal, so does it make me a person with bad communication skill during appraisal?

Actually this could be beneficial or vice versa to potential job seekers.

Even though it's the same companies, different department receive different treatment. Some boss prefer production than sales while others could be the reverse. Unless posters are willing to share in-depth knowledge, it will be hard to distinguish the good from the bad ones.

Saw one mnc in the list where my SIL worked. Heard from my bro that every year increment 20% or so. Bonuses 4-5 months. 5 days work, but there's people resigning from such work. Thus she had to take over jobs for those who leave. Although she felt tired taking over these people's workload but even she herself admitted that such things rarely happens. Other department in the companies getting no pay raise at all, even talk about down sizing.

2. Asking ppl to come on saturday and sunday for work but no OT ever given

i used to work for this chinaman boss that hire his own mistress as the financial controller.

all our claims will be scrutinize by her and she will use google map to calculate our mileage. every month after receiving claims payment, will notice at least deduct RM50 from what we calculated ourselves.

also after noticing the high consumption of toilet rolls in office, she started distributing one toilet roll per staff per month.

every Saturday have to work half day on alternate week, although everyone just come in chit chat and wasting electricity.

the only thing i miss from this company is that the old boss act like a grandpa to me. alot of nagging, but sometime can feel the warmth. now working in MNC, everyone seems cold.
