Help me List somemore, I will update, here. If you dare la ! That is. Pm and me or just comment tongue.gif I do believe there will be a lot. Since... it's Malaysia tongue.gif

Actually, "Chinaman Company" are not all together as bad as pictures painted them to be. You can learn and grow along with these companies. You come outmore experienced and more valued. And really, at the end of the day, it depends on where you ends up, and how you carry yourself. It's your own mentality and spirits that makes you successful in your own way.

The purpose of this thread is for jobseekers to know which and what kind of company are there interviewing for. And, have a mentality prepared for it. Anyway, if you're looking for jobs, 'Beggers can't be Choosers' right?

If you're the bosses who read this, sorry la.. hehe brows.gif You are boss anyway, shouldnt be bothered too much by these right? There is no such thing as bad publicity, only publicity

It's a sibu company right? Its a family owned company. But I never met anyone who worked inside. I do know one of their family member during my primary school days. My classmate.

Do you consider those listed co like Berjaya Group and Hong Leong Group as Chinaman Companies?

In my own definition, yes.

Sometimes it can difficult to classify, it is all depends on individual interpretation I guess.

For example, Top Glove is Chinaman. Other glove making manufacturer like Kossan and Supermax also Chinaman companies.

But how about Hartalega? Their boss is a Chinese but staff benefit is much better than other gloves players. Then Hartalega is not chinaman?

somehow i feel that companies that are pioneered by post 80s or 90s malaysian young men are non-Chinaman company. Different method of management and staffs treatment bah.

Besides, even tho, berjaya is a big company (or even international) if the criteria mostly like above, then it should fit.

And for sake of argument, even P&G, Nielson, would have staffs clocked OT in the office after 8pm just to finish off works. No claim OT summore. And, that is MNC summore. Even more like perah sugarcane jus sampai kaw kaw.

That's why the clear definition will be the difference of culture, and the policy that the company brings.

A Chinaman company not necessarily boss must be chinese, china-man, or malaysian-chinese no.. no. It's the kind of culture. the feeling u get when u work in these companies (Especially family oriented ones)

from what i know. Reliance is a franchaise. Like KFC or McD, but it's in the travel & service industry. Although the format and everything standard is the same. But its the boss or tawkey who own that certain branch that earns the profit. Thats boss also the one who decides u gget how much bonuses right?

Not all Chinaman company are that bad especially the big ones.

BUT if it's a very small Chinaman company (<10), make sure you get away from it as far as possible!
