Haha. Malaysia ke arah foreign workers like indon/nepal soon. Dang. 90% of my school mates fled over Australia and other western countries. I tried not 2 think that's true but as time goes by, it's the reality. doh.gif I won't blame them 4 doing so anyway. doh.gif They are richer than all the average earners in malaysia already after 1 year work there. Yikes.

Yup, working condition really terrible here. Labor law still based on 1955 enactment. And there's no interest from the government to amend. So everyone here suffer la. Or keep jumping until find a decent company.

1-No OT, always go back home late, weekend = RM10 per 4 hours
2-Boss can't make up his mind. First AS2, then AS3, then now HTML5 (have to revamp all work to HTML5 despite not done yet. There are hundreds and thousands of modules to be fixed). And suka-suka change template too. No time extension for those amendment/revamp/changes. Have to do unpaid OT to cover it
3-Wrong work structure. Subject Matter Expert doing storyboard despite the fact that it is Instructional Designer's work. Storyboard mess up, Graphic Designer confused
4-Local = low salary, Foreigner = high salary, altho the foreigners are the one that always screw up
5-Look down on locals, badly, and worship em foreigners
6-Boss doesn't want to check the draft, want the product to be completed first, then he will decide to approve or revamp.
7-Lots and lots of amendment/revamps because boss can't make up his mind
8- 8:30 am - 6 pm, 9 1/2 hour including lunch. Yet staff always have to go back at 7-8pm
9-Insult current employee in front of the interviewee, and make fun of ex employee as well
10-Always pride themself as "MNC" company, but behave like chinaman
11-Very difficult to approve leave, even suka-suka stop people from taking leave
12-Fired people based on mood
13-The boss is a muslim boss (mamak), but everytime friday prayer he always skip and do meeting instead
14-For a company with a muslim boss, the surau never completed, yet his lvl 10 house (in the building) almost completed
15-Ask staff to wait for meeting AFTER working hour, staff wait until 9 pm, end up no meeting (always happen)
16-HR leader suka-suka scold staff, gila kuasa punya worang

Boss = gov kroni

The employees hate that place. Acting high and mighty, thinking they're a MNC-level company, when actually just another china-man mentality company. I've worked with a MNC company before, completely different level than these wanna-be

Please, if anyone see the job advertisement on L3@rn1ng P0rt, do not apply for it. Even the foreign employee hated the company. Do not believe the salary offered on the advertisement unless if you have blond hair and speaks hungarian-english. Do not torture yourself

Also, I realize that most chinaman companies (manufacturing at least) don't give two hoots about:

1.) Worker safety (Cost $$$$ ma !!!)
2.) Equipment maintenance and repairs (Cost $$$$ ma !!!)

Which is why Western MNCs gain an edge in terms of working environment and safety.

Haha. In the first place, employees should never ever find jobs or show indication of leaving during working hours. But then company also equally very bodoh 4 blocking it due 2 no trust with employees at all. Dang yo. Block Facebook I can understand la but block Jobstreet, I just cannot brain that at all. doh.gif shakehead.gif

for ages these chinaman companies kept the country economy afloat despite gross gahmen incompetencies, rampant corruption and mismgmt,

today they are barely afloat, come GST inflation, things will turn for worst, they'll keep workers salary stagnant, those find hard to cope will F@#$@% workers until they quit.... icon_idea.gif

very soon, even gahmen sector also will join in like MAA TAKAFUL whistling.gif

Loll....just like my company 7:30 to 6. Except we got Sunday off but kena freezed all leaves. But Sunday working kambing d. Already on this for 5 months. Many people jumping every month....lel...

really? I know a few companies who promised 2% increment when GST comes because current sales tax 10% - replaced by gst 6% = 4% lower cost so 2% company take 2% give employees nod.gif

all corporate sales kena 10% sales tax la many companies are happy gets replace with cheaper 6% gst brows.gif

I need to add something on the company I mentioned. From what my friend told me,

1) Mileage claim as RM0.40 per KM.
2) Management strictly discourage 'love-like' relationship among staff. If found by the management then they will sack.
3) Boss suka suka then will ask for meeting. No such thing as schedule a meeting with boss.
4) Since boss is so busy, many things can only be approved when he is available, and it gives the staff a very short notice to prepare the project.
5) Bonus paid by cash.
