QUOTE(badkid @ Apr 9 2014, 07:29 PM) Loll...don't be surprised. Just got off interview with SunW3Y.Here's what I was told by interviewer. I was applying for Sr. Exec. in a core business unit. "We are currently short on staff, so I expect you to take on other people's roles". Seriously?? "My staff all work from 9am - 9pm. Some come in during weekends. I never force them, they must like the company very much"....fcuk, yeah right. Then, try to beat on my expected salary. Say too high, experience not relevant etc. I say ok, I will consider. I smiled, then shut up. Got ready to pick up my folder. Fcuking wasted my time going for the interview. Guys, don't even bother applying. Unless you even want no life. To be fair, he did mention bonus is 3-4 months. More if you work harder. |

QUOTE(MR.Jellyfish @ Apr 14 2014, 09:44 PM) I went thru this before here a good advice on how to jump around like a pro Bro, 1.Make a skills based resume 2.Only write what you have experience in and dont write the company name or duration 3.Mention some reputable companies that you had been in 4.NEVER!! let your boss be your referee always be a colleague who is pro u Source : I jump around like a boss every 1-3 months on every chinaman company I accidently landed in Can share....If they asked you why you not happy with current company during interview, how to answer? |

QUOTE(hitsugaya2010 @ Apr 25 2014, 07:02 PM) My worst experience, Loll....good write up...wondering if scolding is common in Chinaman type company? 1. No OT, have some allowance, but if you are travelling with him, no allowance given. 2. The company only have four person including me. 3. First month, ask me go to site, but me bad luck, i dropped one of the equipment. Initially it was ok, cause it was still working. Then the next morning, he noticed that there's a crack on the side of the equipment. Got mad, throw his hp on the floor. 4. Won't tell or teach you directly, ask you do, does wrongly, he will scold you. His training is a spartan training type. 5. insurance also I need to buy myself, cause the job requires that. Not company sponsored. 6. help him to do some personal things, said that it's related to the job. When I left, he still thinks he is right about how he treated me. He said that he do like that to make me a stronger person. And scolded me 'You think the world revolves around you?' I must thank him in a way, I realised many things. My first job is a comfort zone for me, nice boss, nice colleagues and easy work. But this chinaman company, I couldn't last for a month. Anyhow, I think I am mentality stronger now thanks to him. But I still think that his way is not the correct way to treat an employee. He treats employee, as if like we are supposed to work and die for the company, since he paid us. If he treats me good nevermind, too bad, he is mean. hahaha.. |

QUOTE(MrPoppyplants @ Apr 29 2014, 03:39 PM) Work culture wise, even if it is an MNC, all it takes for the company to turn into a Chinaman company is one top management person. This is kinda true. Even MNCs have to integrate some local standards to survive here. But still, better than working with them than some pure local chinapek company.Except for really huge companies, most MNC's will succumb to local standards, cultures and pay grades because that may be the most sensible thing to do. Imagine an MNC full of expats trying to do business in Malaysia. It is simply just not going to work at all. |

QUOTE(skylinelover @ May 6 2014, 01:41 PM) Haha. Malaysia ke arah foreign workers jalan soon. Dang. 90% of my school mates fled over Australia and other western countries. I tried not 2 think that's true but as time goes by, it's the reality. Yup, working condition really terrible here. Labor law still based on 1955 enactment. And there's no interest from the government to amend. So everyone here suffer la. Or keep jumping until find a decent company. |

QUOTE(nicole_4ever @ May 25 2014, 10:25 PM) sometime is not the matter whether it is passion or not +1 some employers are totally retarded which they treat employees as slaves. Don't talk about bad management, they can't even handle/divide the job scope to their employees. In the end each of them have to stay back late almost everyday. To them like those China mindset, you need to produce until what they want, don't care if u die. this is what i experienced from my ex-company. I have to agree. Same with my ex-company. Call me on Sundays afternoons Saturday nights asking questions about this that. If you no life that's your business but I do! |

QUOTE(3dwin014 @ Oct 12 2014, 07:05 PM) Working at L3onf@st.sdn bhd Must leave bro....never sacrifice health and family for your job. You loose your job your family still there for you. You loose your life or hand or leg, you think your boss care? He go find another one only...I graduated with a diploma in mechanical engineering, not to boost myself, because nowadays diploma is also not very high qualification and I dropout during pursuing my degree. So my story begins in February which is after CNY I started working till now. The job scope I applied for is business coordinator in a warehouse. So after I got in I have been given a 3 months probation. So here is how it goes. I started with stock checking, then picking items. And I am not talking about small items, The items I deal with is big and heavy like toilet bowl and basin, but also got small items. The job description is about handling orders and dealing with customer. But it gets worst. The manager ask me to lift heavy things, then sweep floor(the whole warehouse), then when I go back on time, the manager ask "why go back so early? got wife waiting ar?" Then like to change from A to B. Ask u do A then after done she will said I ask u do B la.. When in good mood c u time hehehe when bad mood, she will said what r u doing?? If can't finish u don't go bek today!!!. Or worst ask me change her pet tortoise water and then ask me to crush tin cans. Sometimes work so tired picking things walking here and there,up and down then at the end of the day only get a packet of Kopi ais. She think she can buy me with just a packet of kopi asi. Then the office ppl also treat me as their handyman, when need to bring things to their car, they will call me like sometimes I just pass by them they will stop and ask "hey help me take this to my car or hey help me find some unused box" I mean cmon I am a diploma graduate. I didn't sign up for all of these. When confirm time which is June the Hr said I mayb can start doing some paper work but at the end just kuli till now.. Seems like I have been fooled, The worker(warehhouse dept) there also half half la, some ok some show face and backstab. I really can't tahan anymore, I work till spinal bone pain and leg muscle pain, Hand got a few scars since I got in there all because I doing the manual labor. Shud I just leave? every single day once I open my eyes I just thinking of leaving. Am I a weak person because work not even 1 year, just 8 months. Or is it the job got problem? |
