To waive citibank annual fee just call in. Just direct through the auto-answering system, no need to speak to CSO anymore because they already anticipated these kind of calls. I feel they should just waive it once and for all instead.

yeah they used to have that prompt.
nowadays not sure anymore cause i don't use the self service system anymore
i only talk to the customer service oficer

wanted to cancel my Choice Rewards Mastercard due to not using & not much of stuffed offered by Citibank. The staff upgraded my card to CLEAR card because i told them, i was disappointed of not getting it. Then they said CLEAR card got movie offer when i said other bank got movie offer.
*
did you get it in the end?

QUOTE(carpathia @ Mar 9 2014, 11:04 PM)
CHOICE card is the worst card on offer by citibank malaysia. not much deals.
*
just like the Shell VISA Cashback Gold Card
Nowadays everything that has Gold associated with them is on the decline.
Including CitiGold tongue.gif

A agent called said that citibank premiermiles visa signature now is opened for application again, I would like to ask the existing card bearer, is there any changes about the card features?

u mean you got the prorated annual fee charged to your platinum card then ? i have to call them just before the anniversary date then as i have direct debit on the card
*
Not me but my dad, as he didn't not know CITI charged the annual fee and he did not check citi online, hence once he received the printed statement is already too late. As for me, i didn't made any transaction after the annual fee charged date, after payment i call to terminate without pay any fee.

Isn't the cash rebate card kinda bad deal?

5% Petrol
2% Pharmaceutical
2% Grocery
2% Phone Bills
0.3%Everything else

I don't care for pharmaceutical, and the rest I have Maybank 2 Cards AMEX to cover. I noticed the everything else category is only 0.3%, where as even for non-AMEX Maybnank, RM1 = 1 point = 0.4% (typically 2500 points = RM10 voucher).

Anything I am missing out?

Agreed... I do Think the Cash Back Platinum's AF Lebih Susah Sikit to get Waive Compare with Others Platinum & They Don't just Waive for Everyone Upon Request, Only Certain Cardholder will Get it... nod.gif

But, Its Better than HLB Wise's AF Can X Waive pun, Have to Pay it before U can Earn More $$$ Back ... laugh.gif

Called in to Citibank to waive AF & absorb GST for my Clear Card. AF could be waived without any issue but they are not willing to absorb my GST so I told them to cancel the card. 2 days later cancellation dept called me and told me same thing. So card is canceled.

Are there cards that allows waive for GST ?

As I know, my Cimb Signature, Citibank Plat does not waive after the 1st year. Their "method" of waiving is asking you to use your points you earned doh.gif
