Not sure when Buy 1 Free 1 Promo will end for the Clear Card but it is good for those who go to the movies on Fridays. But Bro, if you read previous thread, it was posted by some members that they face obstacles getting their annual fee waived for their Citi Clear Card and Citi Platinum Cash Back credit cards. But then again, if one really benefit from the Free Movie tickets (for Citi Clear Card) and do get cash back more than the annual fee (for Citi Cash Back), it makes sense to pay the annual fee(s).

I posted in my article MORE A Little Bit Of This And A Little Bit Of That, that Citibank approved my request for my Citibank Platinum credit card annual fee to be waived on the spot  thumbup.gif  Not only that, the card anniversary is more than a month away. Benefit of the Citibank Platinum credit card is that it allows UNLIMITED FREE access to KLIA, Johor and Langkawi Plaza Premium Lounges.

Is it the first year of annual fee will be waive for new application right normally?? If yes, just enjoy for a year movie benefit, after that only think about Annual fee on next year. biggrin.gif

On the other hand, heard from my friend of friend who is currently working in Citi that GSC will not continue with Citi due to their terminal is damn slow compare to other terminal. But not sure whether is true or not, therefore this is put me into consideration whether is good to apply or not at this moment...

Btw, your article is really interested bro, there is not only talking about credit card but also sharing about your life... thumbup.gif

Thanks Bro for reading my article. I guess you also know we get FREE 1 for 1 Movie ticket with our Maybank 2 Cards AMEX every Thursday at TGV only as highlighted in the article.

Yes, most Citi credit cards first year annual fee are waived except for their Prestige card.

One year got 52 weeks, say you go 30 times a years, that's at least RM300 savings smile.gif

Yes I have notice about this buy 1 free 1 with MBb at TGV, and have try before, but personally more prefer to GSC instead of TGV as the seat manner at TGV is not nice, some more there is only available for normal seat, but not for prefect seat, right? but it's depend on individual satisfaction

Alright, will look into it... Thanks for your advice ! biggrin.gif

For my case the CS call me less than a week after the agent submitted my application. Maybe going through agent is faster because agent want to claim commission? brows.gif

that's not really true
once they have your signed application form ready, they sometimes (unprofessionally) bulk them and mass submit.
to them it is does not make a difference because the chance of approval is the same and it does not make a difference in their commission. commission is also paid on pre-determined dates, so they sometimes have no intention of doing an early submission.

Don't forget RM50 GST usually charge on first statement. Even if they have rebate/waiver, please do check coz sometimes they do trick of giving rebate on second statement or something like that (thus card holder need to pay first before getting rebate).

I believe you need to pay RM50 for govt tax, so first statement will generate out even though no transaction.

online!

reasons:
1) i do not believe in the idea that agents get free commission (regardless lenglui or not) when you know the product as good (if not better) as them
2) applying thru agents for citibank, based on my experience at least, does not make the processing much faster.
3) you do not usually get better free gifts when you sign up at shopping malls.
4) in the event that you do not qualify for a higher card, agents normally manipulate your application to get lower requirement cards which you do not want - for the sake of getting commissions.
5) there are also cases where you want to try your luck for approval for a card which you are not sure you would qualify. to improve the chance of a confirmed and secured comission, the agents automatically downgrade your application even before it stands a chance to be evaluated by the credit evaluation team.
