QUOTE(SSJBen @ Nov 14 2014, 01:55 AM) Been saying it several times now, 980 is overpriced. It's bound to drop to 780 prices (which is where it should be), that's if you're a price-performance ratio person. If you don't care, obviously get the 980, it's a great card. whats the cheapest 980 in the market bro? Mini-HDMI. |

QUOTE(ainuddin @ Nov 14 2014, 11:45 AM) The 980s all have coil whine too. Dude, coil whine will happen irregardless of what you buy. You either get a very annoying, unbearable coil whine or you get a card that has almost inaudible whine, it's pretty much lottery.Cheapest 980 is the reference 980, RM2050 IINM. It's certainly not RM500-RM700 faster than the 970, price-performance wise. This post has been edited by SSJBen: Nov 14 2014, 12:17 PM |

Regarding the coil whine, on my card it did have a sound when I first bought it but after some time the noise reduced significantly. There are some noise at very high framerate typically on menu screen (try F.E.A.R or Crysis main menu). Other than that its pretty much silent.
