QUOTE(saldopullt @ Apr 8 2014, 05:32 PM) I have the MBB 2 Card Gold and I am qualified for the Platinum 2 Card. Should I go for it? Is there any hidden benefit that I had to sacrifice to obtain the Platinum Card? Or is there any extra cost in getting the Platinum (eg: annual fee)? Why not if you are qualified? There is no extra cost since you also need to pay RM50 GST for gold. Though you have to prove that your annual income qualified for platinum so I guess you need to show them your payslips or EPF statement. And if I can just called the card centre asking for an upgrade without submitting any document? I maintain all my banking account with maybank |

QUOTE(supersound @ Apr 15 2014, 09:36 AM) Master and Visa basically are same, except AMEX. I applied the cards at their branch. Have been waiting for nearly a month now. So even though it shows visa in MB2U, I actually can still get mastercard? If you have M2U, this is normal. Mine are shown on first week when the form submitted. You applied the cards on branch or booth in shopping complex? |

QUOTE(supersound @ Apr 15 2014, 11:38 AM) Not really, once shown on system, you have to apply to change it. But so far any merchant that accept Visa will accept Mastercard also. And once you got this combination, you will be using AMEX most of the time only unless they are not accepting AMEX. QUOTE(victorywp @ Apr 15 2014, 11:56 AM) does it matter so much to you whether it's a mastercard or visa? i think when you get the card, you will be using amex more instead of mastercard or visa (for maximum benefits). Thanks for the advice!anyway, if that really matters, you may call the cs and request them to change the visa to mastercard saying that you did mentioned during your application that you wanted for a mastercard instead of visa. for your information, there is no difference between mastercard and visa because both are widely accepted. the difference are mainly on exclusive promotion done by mastercard or visa. for example, get 10% discount on agoda with visa on wednesday or get 10% discount on universal studio sg entrance ticket with mastercard (previous promo). As I mentioned earlier I already have MB visa debit so I prefer to have mastercard instead for the extra flexibility. Amex will be the top priority of course but unfortunately not many places I frequent accept Amex Just called CS and she said I need to submit the change form at MB branch. |

QUOTE(edwardccg @ Apr 19 2014, 07:10 PM) Watami card also got unlimited point earn rm1 = 1 points. Thanks for the info. Will try my luck next time at the garden. They should really accept amex for online payment to make our life easier If dine in watami get 2x points, oversea spending get 2x points too. The point could directly redeem cash back, rate is rm50=12500 points, so is same with maybank visa/master. But yet better coz maybank 0.4%rate is counted by their GST redeem, not like pure cash back redeem on watami All digi center with koisk machine accept amex I usually pay using koisk machine on times square or the garden btw, anyone knows if the kiosk machine at ss2 accept amex? It says it is 24 hour so I'm hoping to try to pay by amex tomorrow This post has been edited by besiegetank: Apr 19 2014, 07:48 PM |

btw guys i have a question regarding agoda book now and pay later option.
I wonder if it is possible to negotiate with them to charge the payment earlier during weekend to enjoy the 5% rebate since the original date they charged is on weekdays? |

Guys I just paid the full amount in my latest statement according to the statement balance but I noticed that only the minimum balance goes to zero but the statement balance still remains the same in MB2u. Is this normal? It did recorded my payment but won't the statement balance goes to zero too?

Just afraid I didn't pay the correct amount outstanding balance will go to zero provided no new transaction have been made.. i would say depend.. it depend whether the posting date is on 3rd May or 4th May onwards.. if the posting date is on 4th onwards, it will be appear on June statement |
