Hi Guys , i try petronas RON 97 but seem no different  !!!! how about your city ? Please share share here and merry x-mas to all of u . Thanks
*
I used Caltex RON95 for 1yr+, since it's more powerful than other RON95 (tried Shell, BHP, Petron & Petronas), and lately changed to Caltex RON97.

To me, Caltex RON97 is more powerful than Shell VPower97.

So far has not try Petronas RON97 on my City yet.

all these while i use ron95 from petronas (most powerful) as compare to ron 95 from shell. The only two petrol station available conveniently around my area. Recently i switch to ron 97. At first i tried from shell instant feel the difference...smooth n powerful even light footed. Then I tot of trying petronas ron 97...can't compare at all i don't feel the difference with their ron 95. Now I'm sticking to shell ron97. better for my city.

Yes.. the old starter i don't know what brand.. The start up sounds a bit harsh.. After replacing it with Denso, the start up crank sounds sharper (like laser sound).

Next service coming up, 80k major one right?

How much estimated damage normally? On Honda site it says around RM777+ but that include the dust & pollen filter. I think we can safely ignore this one and do outside right?

Agreed, my City (Aug'13) and my colleague's (2009) has different starter sound. She had the similiar issues with starter problem, and according to her, Tiong Nam (setia alam) is the most willingly SC to assist with customer complaints and has filed in FOC replacement for her. Probably you can try Tiong Nam SA

Going soon for 30k service. car already feels 'loose fitted' after 1.5yrs rolleyes.gif

Yes. They knew it. They had issued a Product Update Programme back in 2011 to replace the affected starter for affected batches.

I tried BHP 97 last week, felt better power compared to BHP Ron 95.

It give slightly higher mileage too.

As for Caltex RON 95, it is giving good mileage and engine is quieter as compared to Petronas RON 95.

Just went for 30K service

- was told that AC service was compulsory (as usual, SC person gives the ball juggling decision, if choose not to do it, warranty may be voided etc)
- charge was RM73.21 (element assy AC) + RM190 (AC service)

was it really compulsory? or ..
