You can try but from what I see, Honda don't want to admit the newer City came with faulty starter motor. They will blame it on a weak battery.

ok, i should send it for outside replacement then.. sweat.gif

thanks again for the help!

Due to the limited tyre choices available for Honda City, i suggest you to go for Michelin XM2 (185/55/16). It should cost you around rm250 a piece at Hin Leong tyre Klang.
*
if i remembered correctly, Michelin XM2 also have a 195/55/16 - so its a little wider

i am on the ori model CPC2 but a little bigger 195/55/16

195/55/16 will make the tyre look fat due to thicker side walls wor.

Holla. If I change the headlamp bulb to something better and stronger like Phillips Xtreme Vision 100%, will it damage my headlamp cover i.e. turn yellowish or faded.

Thanks.

It is recommended to swap front & to rear every 10,000km.. But I do it every 15,000-20,000km depending on feel of the steering & whether alignment is out.

Replace all 4 new tyres are subjective. There are a lot of anomalies that will affect the lifetime of a tyre. Some tyres last a lot longer than other, how we drive the car, how we take care of the tyres etc..

It is recommended to replace every 4 years though..

This could be really subjective. The tyre shop advice me to swap on 20k, change all 4 new tyres on 40k

Feel not bad with stock tyre CPC2, wanna give a try with XM2 when the time to change all 4 smile.gif

if the tires are not worn out, and still looks good for after 2 years, change it as the rubber will harden over time, if you are driving it regularly, i guess in 2 years time it will wear out

but like some where they rarely drive it, and the usage is not wearing out the tires, then 2 - 3 years should be it ...

if not gonna change all 4, at least the front 2

Guys. Any of you change from 16" to 15" rims?Care to share the performance and feel?Might change to 15" rims due to wider and cheaper choices of rim and tyre.

Hi there.. i try to diy for gearbox oil replacement. i asked in teamcity forum but seem no one reply me yet, so i try my luck here.

ok, straight to the point. how do you guys measure the gearbox fluid level? measure it during engine off or running?

previous workshop do measure it by running the engine, while other workshop off the engine to measure.

i asked why, as while engine running, the fluid level is way below minimum. he told me that is normal as fluid is pumped all gearbox area. however, i end up asking him to top up until in between L-H (with engine running)

in my city 2005 (cvt) manual book + internet, mentioning to off engine to measure for honda, while other brand is by running the engine.

which one is the correct way? sifus?

all these while i use ron95 from petronas (most powerful) as compare to ron 95 from shell. The only two petrol station available conveniently around my area. Recently i switch to ron 97. At first i tried from shell instant feel the difference...smooth n powerful even light footed. Then I tot of trying petronas ron 97...can't compare at all i don't feel the difference with their ron 95. Now I'm sticking to shell ron97. better for my city.
*
just before the petrol drop price, i've switched from shell ron95 to caltex ron95...instant feel the difference..now i just pump caltex ron97.

heard from my fren that his fren tried to track the difference between shell and caltex ron95, drive all the way to genting to test it out with some machine/computer attached to the car. said that shell has more knocking (i don't really understand).

but i can feel it after switching, after using shell ron95 for the past 3 years. drawback is that caltex is not everywhere. i got 2 around my house area. but it's a pain to find one when u r on a trip
