QUOTE(BlackWoods @ May 26 2014, 06:25 PM) Guys, My case, i'm under MSIG, bought S city last Aug.I bought my City last year June, so insurance renewal has strikes me now. I'm under Tokio Marine insurance (I think it's covered in HIP). Bought the car at RM86k E spec, but now after 1 year, the insurance statement shows that: Indicative Market Value: RM79,000 Policy Sum Insured: RM88,000 Premium Payable: RM1,750 I've read somewhere that you can't claim more than your car market value, so the statement is already over insured? The market value I think also over valued, shouldn't it be -15% off purchase price? It shows MSIG recommended sum insured RM84k And it gives me the option of a) agreeing to the policy, b) revised sum insured to XXXX amount since the new city (Basic S) is around 74,800k, should i reduce the sum insured? logically, a figure <74800rm.? |

QUOTE(kucingfight @ May 31 2014, 04:10 PM) My case, i'm under MSIG, bought S city last Aug. To bring this up,It shows MSIG recommended sum insured RM84k And it gives me the option of a) agreeing to the policy, b) revised sum insured to XXXX amount since the new city (Basic S) is around 74,800k, should i reduce the sum insured? logically, a figure <74800rm.? I've contacted MSIG (HIP) and the lowest coverage they can go is rm75k, which is around RM22xx premium. One can opt to cover lower eg; 65k,70k, but you have to fill in the form and send it back. Since 70k coverage is around RM20xx, and with NCD 55%, it comes to less than RM100 difference, i decided to stick with 75k This post has been edited by kucingfight: Jun 25 2014, 01:08 PM |

QUOTE(earl-ku @ Jun 27 2014, 03:50 AM) dude your dirivng style is totally the other way around form the guy above who mentioned he does 450+km on a single tank ... he does 70 or 80% highway and you do the other way around ... exactly, for me, i'm around 70-80% high speed, thus avg 16km/l ..start stop driving will really eat up your petrol ... and towards end of your service lifecycle ... enf od 5k or 10k interval, the car will also give you less mileage ... |

QUOTE(Memories_Fallen @ Jul 21 2014, 04:52 PM) Hmm, jus checked with shops they are willing to take my city 2011 highest spec with full accessories for just only 60k with 100k mileage. yeah kinda a setback as the new city has brought down the pricesFind the rv quite low as I bought it at around 93k three years ago If I were to sell the car myself anyone know what the procedures are and how much you think can get it roughly sold for? |

QUOTE(Rohan26 @ Sep 17 2014, 03:55 PM) I had driven the city about 8 months. I noticed city seems to have sluggish pick up. Anyone want to comment on this issue. Many thanks QUOTE(Thrust @ Sep 17 2014, 05:07 PM) This is due to the fact that City is using 16" rim. Pick up will improve if you change your rim to 15". I too feel is sluggish during pick upSomeone has shared before, the 5AT is actually more suited for 1.8 L R18A i-VTEC SOHC I4 140hp |

Many thanks.. confirm it will not void warranty, i have changed a 3rd party brand engine filter+ cabin filter myself. at 20k, SA only mentioned to change engine oil + washer. i've juz done 25k, and the SA did not mention anythingThis post has been edited by kucingfight: Oct 17 2014, 10:19 PM |

Forgotten to add, keep the original filters. If u r afraid of voiding, swap in the originals before service

QUOTE(Thrust @ Nov 8 2014, 09:27 AM) Anyone here tried the Honda High Performance Engine Cleaner? I thought of getting a Caltex Techron Fuel System Cleaner to clean up some engine deposits. Used a bottle of caltex concentrate @ 20k..well, couldnt feel any diff.(probably car is relatively new). Juz a placebo effect, but i believed it is doing its job inside. This post has been edited by kucingfight: Nov 10 2014, 04:03 PM |

QUOTE(Thrust @ Dec 26 2014, 11:22 AM) Yes.. the old starter i don't know what brand.. The start up sounds a bit harsh.. After replacing it with Denso, the start up crank sounds sharper (like laser sound). Agreed, my City (Aug'13) and my colleague's (2009) has different starter sound. She had the similiar issues with starter problem, and according to her, Tiong Nam (setia alam) is the most willingly SC to assist with customer complaints and has filed in FOC replacement for her. Probably you can try Tiong Nam SAGoing soon for 30k service. car already feels 'loose fitted' after 1.5yrs This post has been edited by kucingfight: Dec 29 2014, 01:45 PM |

Just went for 30K service
- was told that AC service was compulsory (as usual, SC person gives the ball juggling decision, if choose not to do it, warranty may be voided etc) - charge was RM73.21 (element assy AC) + RM190 (AC service) was it really compulsory? or .. |
