Hi Guys and Honda owner, I am undergoing a situation with Honda Malaysia for my City which put in me in a helpless position. Would like to seek you guys' advice/opinion on how to take the matter forward.
Below is part of the discussion I have had with Honda
Malaysia (via email) of which I have also posted on their Facebook.

////////
Hi Honda Malaysia,

This is regarding an issue now I'm having with my Honda City. On 11Jan14, sent my car for service due to malfunction of air cond at 1130am as scheduled one day in advance. Was told to wait until 3pm, left 3S centre and waited my car from home. Received a call from Service Adviser (SA) from centre informing that my car's metter assy was faulty causing malfunction of air-cond and it required to be exchanged to a new one, was told that they will submit my claim on 13Jan14. Got a call from the SA that the claim was submitted on 13Jan14 but can"t guarantee when the part will arrive, not even dates before CNY. I called the SA on 15,16,20Jan but still not getting any good news for the car. I asked whether there is a courtesy car for my temporary usage but unfortunately no. SA responded several times to me that HONDA HQ has no stocks for the part.

Would like to express the unsatisfactory of
which the part requires such long waiting period. Apart from my car requiring this part, trust the same part is used for your NEW car in production. My preference of this first car is Honda is due to its reputable quality and service, however this issue is a huge disappointment to me. Further, the communication given by dealer was not professional in terms of after-sales service. I demand that I will be contacted immediately once the part is available because the condition of car now is unbearable.

*Please see enclosed response from Honda Malaysia's customer care.

Thanks for your attention.

Thank you for contacting Honda Malaysia Sdn Bhd.

We appreciate you bringing the matter to our attention and sincerely regret any inconvenience you have experienced.

With regards to your concern, we regret to inform your good self that the part, Meter Assy. is estimated to be delivered within 2½ months. Our Service Advisor shall contact you once the part is available at the dealership.

Furtherance to the above, kindly be informed that the provision of courtesy car by dealer is solely based on their discretion depending on its availability. As such, please liaise with Mr. Lim Ping Hwa, Service Manager of Peringgit Sri Motor Sdn Bhd. should you need further clarification on the part delivery status and availability of courtesy car.

Once again, thank you for your kind understanding and patience in dealing with the matter throughout.

According to the dealer's service advisor, dealer doesn't keep spare parts while they get it from Honda HQ after submitting request. Not sure if this is just arrangement of my dealer, Peringgit (Klang lama), others have heard other info?

Hi, Din.

I am thinking of the same thing too, anyone know any reputable mechanic for Honda city at BM area? Honda SC expensive labor charge and 6% gov service charge. rclxub.gif

Anyone experiencing air-conditioning problem? Gotten my new City early this year, done about 2500km as of today.

Apparently, the air-conditioning takes some time to cool down with the cool air blowing into the cabin. Whenever the car is stationary, it's blowing out warm air (although the temperature dial is at 70% max & at 3rd speed of air). But whenever I accelerate, it produced cool air for a while.
It takes a good 10-15 minutes to actually blow cool air out.

Is this the A/C issue or is just that most Honda City compressors are function that way?

Thanks!

If the car is blowing out warm air whenever the car is stationary, i think there's problem with your A/C

So did they give you any courtesy car finally since possibly now you are still waiting? Did you buy the car from Peringgit as well?
