QUOTE(samwjy @ Mar 2 2014, 01:25 PM) Hi Guys and Honda owner, I am undergoing a situation with Honda Malaysia for my City which put in me in a helpless position. Would like to seek you guys' advice/opinion on how to take the matter forward. very sorry to hear your sad case.Below is part of the discussion I have had with Honda Malaysia (via email) of which I have also posted on their Facebook. //////// Hi Honda Malaysia, This is regarding an issue now I'm having with my Honda City. On 11Jan14, sent my car for service due to malfunction of air cond at 1130am as scheduled one day in advance. Was told to wait until 3pm, left 3S centre and waited my car from home. Received a call from Service Adviser (SA) from centre informing that my car's metter assy was faulty causing malfunction of air-cond and it required to be exchanged to a new one, was told that they will submit my claim on 13Jan14. Got a call from the SA that the claim was submitted on 13Jan14 but can"t guarantee when the part will arrive, not even dates before CNY. I called the SA on 15,16,20Jan but still not getting any good news for the car. I asked whether there is a courtesy car for my temporary usage but unfortunately no. SA responded several times to me that HONDA HQ has no stocks for the part. Would like to express the unsatisfactory of which the part requires such long waiting period. Apart from my car requiring this part, trust the same part is used for your NEW car in production. My preference of this first car is Honda is due to its reputable quality and service, however this issue is a huge disappointment to me. Further, the communication given by dealer was not professional in terms of after-sales service. I demand that I will be contacted immediately once the part is available because the condition of car now is unbearable. *Please see enclosed response from Honda Malaysia's customer care. Thanks for your attention. //quote// Thank you for contacting Honda Malaysia Sdn Bhd. We appreciate you bringing the matter to our attention and sincerely regret any inconvenience you have experienced. With regards to your concern, we regret to inform your good self that the part, Meter Assy. is estimated to be delivered within 2½ months. Our Service Advisor shall contact you once the part is available at the dealership. Furtherance to the above, kindly be informed that the provision of courtesy car by dealer is solely based on their discretion depending on its availability. As such, please liaise with Mr. Lim Ping Hwa, Service Manager of Peringgit Sri Motor Sdn Bhd. should you need further clarification on the part delivery status and availability of courtesy car. Once again, thank you for your kind understanding and patience in dealing with the matter throughout. //unquote// ///// Thank you in advance for the suggestions/opinions. |

well after awhile i found the problem....
5th gear is not meant to give good acceleration at that speed i downshifted to 4th gear, then he can't catch up....took him awhile to get near. at that time i oledi 170. but strange, i feel my car more stable after 140. at 100-130, feel very sensitive to wind and not stable. dun really like this gearbox. at lowspeed, i cant get smooth gearshift without pressing a lot on the fuel. maybe i miss my old manual tranny car too much..... |

QUOTE(whackowilson @ Mar 5 2014, 05:28 PM) I've managed to do about 160-170KMph on my City few weeks ago heading down to Singapore. But it sure stresses the engine and the gearbox for sure. Of course with the under-carriage shield, it helps with the aerodynamics during high-speed. Less air drag though! how much you bought the under-carriage shield for? thinking either do under carriage or add the modulo wings. |

QUOTE(NeO2 @ Apr 6 2014, 03:42 AM) i confirm your statement is true.i have first hand experience in this. new design metals are v thin, they refuse to knock it back. they will change the whole piece and weld it back following factory method. thats why they take time to check, confirm with insurance, then order part for replacement. you can visit their service centre in old klang road (Peringgit), the body and paint section is just behind. you see all the car change, no knocking. usually can find cars doing major repair by changing on whole front side or back side due to accident. even frame can be changed, except for the cabin frame. |

QUOTE(earl-ku @ Aug 2 2014, 05:36 AM) if you are under warranty go back to SC, but from my 4 years experience with the car - this is caused by the battery ... the starter is known to be defective, and suppose to have a product update. unfortunately the que is long and its not a critical problem. I already on the que for 9months now. quick fix would be replacing new batteries. |

QUOTE(winterwish @ Aug 5 2014, 12:07 PM) Thanks, I think i'll ask them to check mine next service. go to a helpful Honda sc like bukit raja klang. I let them know, without much talking, they just check battery, then remark..and put me into the list. Yea, thanks. I'll do that. Glad that this is not an isolated case like what I experience with my previous car. |

my friend's 2009 models has this problem and its due to windscreen rubber.
it gets louder as you go faster he bring back sc, they change the rubber, then ok edi. |
