Guys,

I just decided to try switching from MashUp to IPTV Simple PVR client. Any idea how to set up the EPG? I read something about using WebGrab+Plus, but it appears to be archaic that it needs Mono and all sorts of weird setting up, and it's also not available from Ubuntu default repo or any of the PPAs I'm using.

Awesome work mate... Was able to merge it with xbmcil's m3u list, however, the current links for NTV7 an 1News don't seem to be working and also the TV9 logo file name in the logos folder should be changed from "TV 9.png" to "TV9.png" to match the code in the m3u list. Does anyone have any ideas on how i can get the channel's current programme's name, metadata and progress bars to show up (aka EPG compatible with the XMLTV) on an android tv box? Here's what my current list looks like;

Maybe can the WebGrab+Plus forum. They're usually pretty quick last time I had issues. I haven't tested it on Linux so not much experience there.

Woops. Must've missed that. TV9 seems to be working now. Maybe the stream was down.

You'll need to run an EPG grabber like TVxb (super old and no longer supported) or WebGrab+Plus on PC, then have your Android box grab the file from the PC. That's how I'm doing it on the FireTV at the moment. THe same can be done with the channel logos. Makes it easier, esp if you have multiple boxes.

Yes, 1News seems to have stopped working for now. Even RTM's own website streamer is broken: http://m.rtm.gov.my/en/?page=playback&chan...g&device=tablet

NTV7 isn't working too but it can be fixed, albeit with a major PQ tradeoff: change

It seems that the main master.m3u8 will try to invoke either master001 or master002 based on the speed reported by the PC or device, from what I can see master002 is broken at the moment. master001 is for low bandwidth (~200kbps) while master002 is for higher bandwidth (~1Mbps).

As for WebGrab+Plus, all good. I managed to work it out. I may try to create a tutorial over the next few days (although the problem is that there is no scraper for RTM website and the TM scraper is horribly broken, so the only working source is Assteruk, therefore no schedule data for Muzik Aktif, 1News and Parlimen TV).

Quick guide:
1. Install Mono

3. Install Astro scraper (todo: ask WG++ forum for RTM scraper and to fix TM scraper)
4. Tweak with the config file
5. Test Run

Why every time I watch live matches between those favorate countries like now chillie vs Brazil so lag , buggering every few second? Tried few channel also same outcome, is this cause by the traffic of viewers world wide streaming same portal? Or is it my internet line problem?

i observe same.

must be the heavy traffic, not yr broadband.

in naxi-x, can get many channels, the best are the australian, austrian, portugese, azerbaijan and italian ones.

however, none is completely smooth all the time everytime. can be ok for full match or just 10min before the lagging starts.

i notice it gets much better for the 4am match, pretty bad for midnight match.

the same applies to other streams from other apps incl astro-on-the-go.

been lucky so far for me, i could eventually find one working out of the whole lot.

Exactly, midnight match always buffers but 4am match smooth on the run. At least I'm glad not my line issue. Thanks bro for your share of info, cheers.

to all himedia users, take note the old generic xbmc versions (dwnld from xbmc site, incl and up to frodo 12.3) do not work very well - 720/1080 lagging, timeout, crashing. only with the use of advancedsettings.xml or the customised xbmc hiplayer 12.2 version will it work reasonably well, but some users have difficulty doing it.

now, good news! all that is history. all you need to do now is to delete any old xbmc version and install the latest xbmc 13.1 gotham, android/arm version from:
