Hi guys, Im new to kodi, recently got an android box with hdmi input, was wondering is there a way to set up so that astro can be watched via kodi itself instead of having multiple hdmi input at my panel? (i already used up the two hdmi input and im trying not to get a switcher). The android box itself comes with recorder software but i noticed the quality of the astro that pass through the software is bad compared to directly connecting the cable to tv.

Saw the same video, however the guys used another pc to host the front end. I wish I can just directly stream it on xbmc instead. Instead of going through another devices.

I re-read your post and notice that your android box have hdmi input, as such the idea. Maybe if you share the model of the android box people with similar one be able to comments better. Seems like its more in relation to the specific device as I think most box have no hdmi input...

Wow, you got me really interested in your machine, there is a "HDMI IN" app in Zidoo x9, can't if do a passthrough? Or is is just for recording. i.e. can't you plug in astro to the hdmi in and watch it using the "HDMI IN app"?

From what I google kodi can't do that passthrough yet....

It can do recording and passthrough, but the quality outputted (not sure if thats a word) was bad on my 4k panel when it upscale the astro to 4k, but when i play a 720p movie on my panel it looks fine. I suspect the hdmi in app isnt that good, but im no engineer all this is based on my on assumption. But overall the box is really good.

Very nice. A bit off topic, how much and where do you purchase it from and have you try running hypptv everywhere on it? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?...ei.pad.tm&hl=en

There is also 'tablet' version, which previously can play with Himedia. Unfortunately after last two update its no longer working. So I'm searching for other box that is compatible now...

hello Guys,

I just purchased Rpi2 B with 1GB RAM (the latest one). I have configured (openElec) and it's up and running. My concern here is the RAM, I only see 700MB and not 1GB is this normal?

Can anyone please advice what can I do?

I also need some help in tweaking the KODI - Resolution, Date/time (always out), mouse pointer is big and cannot scroll and others then you can help out.

Greatly appreciate for your help.

cheers
Raj

A portion of the RAM are allocated to the GPU. Default for Rpi2 is 256 MB if I'm not mistaken.
Check for the setting of 'gpu_mem' in file /flash/config.txt
