1. This is a genesis setting. U need to configure genesis add-on and enable auto download for subtitle. I love this feature.

Hi all,

I installed xbmc/kodi on my phone (Galaxy Note 2) and have icefilms addon. When I tried to watch TV series on icefilms, it asked to enter a captcha but every time I typed in the captcha, it always say wrong captcha. I've tried all the different sources all giving same error. Anyone has any idea how to resolve this?

Thanks! biggrin.gif

I'm facing a strange problem and have already spent too much hours but no fix. My kodi on my Ubuntu server is not connecting to Internet. My internet is working fine and i'm able to ping or use internet in everyway on my server but when i run Kodi and go to information page, it says not connected and check your internet.
This start happening right after i upgraded to Kodi 14.2.

Tried and tested many chinese media players but nothing beat the quality and stability of FireTV.

flirc is a bit pricey, there's always mini keyboards that works with rpi that doesn't cost too much
There's also a guide where you can use any remote in your house to control rpi here using the GPIO pins on the pi
I bought this one, still waiting for the delivery
I mostly focus on ir since I already have a Logitech Harmony remote, that way I can just program other remote setting to the harmony.

hey,

did you get your remote from aliexpress yet? Does all the buttons work inside KODI? I am currently using my TV remote but once powered off cannot turn it ON unless I unplug/replug the usb.

I too was having trouble with captchas, always a 50/50 chance of getting it right. So decided to go for GENESIS...no captcha. So i guess it solved my problem.

Yes, it works out of the box without having to configure anything
I don't use the remote control that comes with it since only the GPIO IR module that matters
So I just use my HP MCE remote since it has additional buttons and added it to my harmony settings

You can try setting CEC to "Ignore" when the TV is switched off, that way it doesn't power off the rpi.
Plus, rpi doesn't really use much power when turned on 24/7

XBMC is illegal but free

Netflix and Hulu already illegal (read their TOS they dont stream in malaysia) paying for DNS doesnt mean it's legal

Your service is double illegal and not free

By pressing the TV off button, it doesn't affect the rpi at all. Have you tried the bundled remote at all? Would you mind testing it? If all main function works... I will get it. Also might help other forummers here looking for rpi kodi remote.

Getting another rpi for my dad. Parents pau my bandwidth kau kau liao. Haha. Donating some money to dknight for his work for azdrama. That guy's a life saver.

The bundled remote works just fine, any other remote can be configured to work with openelec rpi.
Seems like RC6 remote like my hp mce remote works without having to setup anything.
Btw, you do need to place the gpio ir module like this to get it to receive ir signals properly
