Yeah always see people summon him for this or that when reading the thread =p

Anyway, a few questions which I now think about.

1. KTM cannot bring bike in without bag right? What about LRT?

2. Any recommendation for a budget folding bike bag? Saw one for RM55 on mikebikeshop on facebook, anyone got experience with that seller?

3. Also looking for bike lock, but when I google search I  shocking.gif  seeing how useless even the expensive locks are... and my bike both front and rear tyres are quick-release (easier to steal?)... of course its not a very canggih bike but if so easy won't people just grab and go? US blogs recommend 2 locks, but I think getting 2 locks will already weigh too much?

4. Sunway Pyramid got any bicycle parking? I ride moto so I know where the motor parking is. What about other shopping malls (except 1U, I've seen the bike parking outdoors there)
*
1. Depends. Last time i never use bag

2. mikebikeshop is a good seller

3. folding bike is meant to carry along with you, not left unattended

4. park at any railings you can see. make sure you lock it at the rigid pole/pipe

No one stopped you? So you just carry the bike in one hand and go ?

Wonder whether will get stopped walking around like that, especially if not in bag.

1. LRT definitely can bring in foldie without bag. KTM, have to check.

2. Mike bicycle shop in FB is well known, a lot of people buy from Mike. trusted seller.

3. I only use a simple lock for my Tern verge P18. cost of bike is > RM5k, so far is ok

4. Bike park in Pyramid is at the entrance where the Sunway Lagoon ticketing booths are.

Yeah seems so. Responds quickly too! Will buy at least some things from him, I'm sure.

Where do you leave your bike regularly? If not left alone no lock also can ma =) I'm trying to gauge risk. For example my housing area so safe that car unlock over weekend also no problem, but if I go Pyramid I not so confident.

Locking my bike, i use quite a long cable lock. This will go through the saddle metal rails and my helmet and go through the frame and the rear wheel and go through a public metal railing. All the above items will be locked. The only thing that can be stolen is the quick release front wheel. The way out is to fold the bike and then use the long lock to go through the front wheel as well. Then all secure, but a bit unnecessary to me.

Just get a good lock and it should be ok.

But bear in mind, you cannot deter a very very determined bike thief.. If he really wants your bike, it will be gone, so the more public the area the better.

Any one of you who owns a Tern Link C7, please better check out the bolt in the joint in the frame. The bolt of one bike actually came loose and was found to be broken. Better to be safe than sorry.

Tern Bicycles are now looking into getting the bike repaired.

Went to Rodalink Bangsar today. The Dahon Vybe C7S (2013) is RM791 (after minus 5% member price). Membership is free as what the person told me. They only have the red version. If you need the white one, have to get it from Rodalink Putrajaya or pay and wait until after raya (probably a week plus plus) to get it.

However, they don't have the back metal rack as what shown online. I asked how much does the rack cost and was quoted about RM140. So online price of RM833 is still better.

They also have Vybe C7A latest version. Price RM9XX after discount (including 5% member price). No back rack too.

Dahon MU P8 is RM18xx after discount.

Selamat Hari Raya AidilFitri to all!

Anyone know where I can find Dahon Curve or any Dahon 16" Folding Bike?

I understand from my survey that it's quite rare now. So really appreciate it if anyone encounter it could let me know.

Thank you!

tai lim may bought his in china

its a good foldie, for town use if can get one. its not really for longer distances as the wheel base is too short, do check out this as it affects stability and will be less comfortable.

For a comparison, do check out the brompton's wheelbase length.

Interesting, small and lightweight. If only its easily available in Malaysia.

Never know about the significance of wheel base. Will definitely check it out.
