For those of you who can't spend 80k annually to qualify for waiver, do you think it's still worth it to keep the card?
*
RM800 annual fees already wipe off all the benefits you get from them.
To me, if cannot qualify for waiver, should look for others card, no point to keep.

Premier limit is RM30k

so if you already have existing card with CL equal or higher than RM30k, then you can straight away apply to have this premier card, no pledge

hi, i dont quite get it. Are you saying we can actually apply for this card even though annual salary is less than 180k (as stated in mbb website)?

i am a VS holder now with 20k CL. How can i qualify to these 2 cards?

Increase your credit limit to 30k or pledge 10k FD

I have the same concern with you, my annual spending is about 60-70k and hardly cross the 80k mark. I know that maybank is very strict on this annual spending and hardly to beg for waiver even you had already spend 70k on the card, to them 80k means really 80k.

After analyse my spending pattern, most of my AMEX transaction are only in petrol station, Aeon Big and some big purchase.

In this case, I decide to give up my Premier 2 card and apply for MU Visa Infinite. MU VI give me 5x TP on petrol and grocery. So problem 1 solve.

For others big purchase, I wait until MU win a premier league game then i go and purchase, earn me 5X TP as well. Problem 2 solve too.

In conclusion, base on my spending pattern, im not really worst off but even better off by only need to spend 50k for annual fees waiver.

So, knowing your spending pattern is very important when come to card selection.

That's very good analysis and deep thought.
As a matter of fact I'm actually content with my infinite with the 50k annual fee is simple to achieve however I was thinking of what are the methods to maximize my card spending because I've also spend an average 60-70k annually and I'm losing out alot since the infinite doesn't give you a x5 spending so I thought maybe I can try out the premier and see whether I do hit the 80k mark or if I don't I'll probably revert back to my infinite.

Even if I don't hit the annual fee, I don't mind paying the waiver actually knowing that the expenditure rewards me with x5 points and ultimately buys me a return ticket to xxx which I thought a price of RM800 a year is not as bad.

if you just short of RM10k or RM20k to reach the requirement for Annual Fee waiver

here is the trick

BUY JUSCO VOUCHER with your AMEX
or whatever hypermarket voucher that you shop regularly.

My friend was doing this with his M2gold card, last time there was this 5% cash back during weekend, capped at RM50/mth, so he will spend exactly RM1000 to maximize his 5% cash back, what ever amount short he will just purchase voucher from Jusco (with his AMEX), so he was earning points+5% cash back.

he is giving his parents some money every month, so instead of giving cash, he gives them voucher.
some of the voucher he sells to his co-worker, selling RM49.50 for the voucher value of RM50.

you can buy voucher at AEON Jusco customer service counter

That's really good idea though I won't be buying any vouchers I might be thinking of buying nessesities for my parents instead or perhaps stock up on baby items etc.

However I wonder how do we track on the spending in the card to know whether we are eligible for the annual fee waiver? A year spending is tough to track to know whether can waive the AF or not.

At the moment I'm just doing a high level estimation since averagely a month I pay about 7-8k for credit card payment.

hello guys,
im frequent flyer of Singapore airline, so im only have krissflyer account.
their business class to europe is zurich 160,000, amsterdam 120,000 points as example.

curious to know MAS businees to europe need how many points?

MAS business seat can lay down to become flat bed by one touch on button ?or need to manually flip down just like SQ business class... which i hate the most.

To date MAB has only full lie flat seat on their A380 fleet. The rest are angled lie flat. After April 2016, MAB will introduced their full lie flat seat on their a330 fleet as well.
You can always get more info on the website or seatguru.

Not sure I'm in the right thread to ask but my existing infinite have a priority pass given to me and I just upgraded to the premier which they will be giving me another priority pass.

If I cancel my old infinite can I still use the old priority pass?

cancellation of infinite will automatically cancel your priority pass as well..

suggest you use finish the complimentary entry to PPL on the old priority pass before cancel your infinite

Hi, the premiere 2 cards comes with Amex and Visa Infinite. Does the Visa Infinite entitle card member (principal/supplementary) 5 times of priority pass airport lounge?
