Signature's requirement was 120k last time no?

I put 20k for VS and I got it the next 3 days.

Assuming 120k is the current rate, so 20k like last time should be no problem? laugh.gif

As for VS limit, after they revise, around 40k CL.

I have another Ikhwan with 10k limit, I think.

Premier limit is RM30k

so if you already have existing card with CL equal or higher than RM30k, then you can straight away apply to have this premier card, no pledge

premier card now doing promo, only require income 120k per annum.
if still cant meet (like my case), go pledge FD

If the income requirement is 20k does it mean that 20k credit limit can apply for premier 2cards? Which centre is recommended to apply? Thanks!

Guys wanna ask, is it worth to get this card? because I'm already using their infinite.

Am not sure what are the extra perks and I'm reluctant because you need to spend like RM80k a year in order to waive the fees compare to RM50k for infinite.

Yeah but my worry is I may not be able to commit the 80k spending a year though. That's like rm6.6k spending a month.

50k is fine though been using my infinite for awhile now already.

Thanks, good idea. Will try out the card then since if could not meet I'll downgrade back to infinite.

Worth trying out since they do not require any documents from my side and they approve on the spot since I already have the infinite.

My worry is just the annual fee commitment.

Yeah not an issue since I'm "upgrading" now, cut infinite apply premier.

If I do not satisfy their needs, I will then cut premier and re-apply infinite. Not an issue.

I'll see how well the premier cards serve compare to my existing infinite.

I also noticed that there aren't many shops that actually accepts AMEX.

i remember if one terminate a card, bank will block your application for 6 months.
so, you better apply first, once got your card, then follow by card termination.

AMEX acceptance, i will say it depends on your spending patterns.

from 2012 till now,
up to now, my spending is
73% on AMEX,
27% on Visa.

most of my spending == utility bills, travel expenses (flight, hotel, petrol), dining, hypermarket

source of my statistics:
m2uplanner.maybank2u.com.my

using this m2uplanner i can monitor how much i have spent, check if i already qualify for annual fee waiver or not.

Thanks for the advice that website is really informative for me.

I'm looking to maximise the Amex card since I don't know what are the merchants that support Amex.

For those of you who can't spend 80k annually to qualify for waiver, do you think it's still worth it to keep the card?

I have the same concern with you, my annual spending is about 60-70k and hardly cross the 80k mark. I know that maybank is very strict on this annual spending and hardly to beg for waiver even you had already spend 70k on the card, to them 80k means really 80k.

After analyse my spending pattern, most of my AMEX transaction are only in petrol station, Aeon Big and some big purchase.

In this case, I decide to give up my Premier 2 card and apply for MU Visa Infinite. MU VI give me 5x TP on petrol and grocery. So problem 1 solve.

For others big purchase, I wait until MU win a premier league game then i go and purchase, earn me 5X TP as well. Problem 2 solve too.

In conclusion, base on my spending pattern, im not really worst off but even better off by only need to spend 50k for annual fees waiver.

So, knowing your spending pattern is very important when come to card selection.
