QUOTE(Ramjade @ Jul 23 2015, 10:16 AM) Just for curiosity, this card got no cash back so is basically a pure reward points card with very good exchange (lowest rm- points). Am I right? assuming you don't want to submit any income document at all.How much FD is needed to pledge for this card? just pledge min 30k, one to one ratio between FD and credit limit. |

QUOTE(corad @ Jul 23 2015, 09:01 AM) just wondering if Malaysian CC is the most cost efficient way if making a big purchase overseas ? (US & UK) Thinking around RM40k mark in term of cost efficient for that amount you mention, i personally find withdrawal the money from local (in US & UK) for better exchange rate.Don't have a US or UK bank account so can't do bank draft. Sifu and bosses here any tips ? yes, there might be charges for each withdrawal, but based on my experience, the exchange rate would made it up if you find the ATM allows higher amount per transaction. I think i missed one important thing, all this while i was referring to ATM card withdrawal. CC will costs a bomb. This post has been edited by lamode: Jul 23 2015, 03:55 PM |

QUOTE(terrysoh @ Oct 16 2015, 12:23 AM) I have actually both Amex n Visa Premier 2 cards, looking for an answer which is best whenever i buy using ebay. Cos I had seen Visa Infinite is usually the cheaper conversion rate between both cards used. maskedchanHence, if Visa Infinite remains the 5x + cheaper conversion, then its a no brainer for me to use VI for my ebay purchases from today onwards. Yeah been using amex locally whenever i have the chance timing is good, i just used both AEON Watami VISA and MBB AMEX Reserve for USD yesterday. it's already posted in aeon, but yet to appear in m2u. will update you guys once it shows up. |

QUOTE(maskedchan @ Oct 16 2015, 09:34 AM) if the transaction in USD, i found AMEX better rate than VI.. Transcation date: 17 Oct 2015but those transaction i did was last year..so far this year never buy anything oversea due to low ringgit rate perhaps you could go to this thread to have comparison https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1845691 Currency: USD AEON WATAMI VISA - 4.3991 MBB AMEX RESERVE - 4.2610 as it turns out, the AMEX is about 3.2% better than VISA. |
