Maybe next time you bring the supplementary card to redeem there.. i noticed that everytime i use my amex to put into the card machine to do redemption, it always deduct my amex point. in my statement my visa, m2u point never get deducted.

you did the right thing. i went to card center, and they explained to me that my income doesnt meet the requirement, so they cannot process. they suggested me to walk in to branch or go to any place that got maybank credit card booth/roadshow, that will be easier because they have different process and can help you to appeal if your income doessnt meet 180k/year

i tried to talk to branch, they seems very reluctant to help me.

one of the cardcenter staff refer me to maybank credit card sales guy, a very helpful guy, he helped me to submit. this guy know how to process the application with FD pledge. he told me he had experience to help people without income (such as house wife) to get this card with FD pledge.

so now i am waiting for card center to process and get back to me on how much i should pledge in order to get the card.

13-January - submit all application required documents
20-January - bank approved my request to apply card with FD
28-January - i received the letter
29-January - bringing the letter to maybank branch, tell them i want to pledge FD for credit card

so far process quite smooth, only the approval letter they use normal post so i arrive at my house after a week. I need to pay RM10 for stamp duty because i pledge the FD against credit card.

i got the latest islamic FD promotion, 4.13% p.a.

this is how they calculate:

months rate
3 3.38%
3 3.58%
4 3.78%
1 5.28%
1 8.28%

so if we divide the rate into month, and add up together will get 4.13% as return, but actually the effective return is slightly higher: 4.1969%

meaning to say, if you deposit RM10k, after 12 months will get RM419.69 as total interest. But this 1 is not upfront interest.

FD need to pledge at branch, saturday i believe no branch open. This FD pledging cannot be done at card center.

maybank cc sales agent shared with me this method:
# apply CL increase first, better attach income proof, and also proof of other bank offer you high limit
# if your CL successfully increased to 30k or more, then you can straight away apply m2premier without attaching any income proof, no pledge needed.

how long to process took from the day you walk in to branch until you got your card?

the branch will keep your FD cert, so without the cert you wont be able to uplift.

i just realized that we need to apply Priority Pass separately, i am flying today, so cannot enjoy lounge service at overseas. how long would it takes to get the priority pass card ready?

can supplementary card enter this Plaza Premium Lounge Gateway @ KLIA 2?

just now my gf called PPL Gateaway@KLIA2, they say m2premier supp card cannot go in there, so i was confused, maybank card center say eligible to enter, but plaza there say no.. any1 tried before?

i compare my card and my gf card, credit card got 16 digits of card number, first 13 digit for both of our card is the same number, only last 3 digits different. so in this case hard to tell if she is using supp card from the number itself

crap, i upgraded my flight to business class, flying from Beijing to KL, but MAS customer service told me business class cannot enter the lounge in beijing, the lounge only serve first class ticket...

i have not receive my priority pass yet, so cannot get in to any lounge.

this friday night will know. will post update at here once i tried

my flight is 1:30am later, i arrived here 530pm just now, and to my surprise MAS counter will only open later at 1030pm!!!! so i have to wait until MAS counter open...

ok, just an update, MAS gave me a pass to enter "Air China Business Class Lounge", but the environment and food not that nice, so i spent about 25min then i went to BGS Premier Lounge, entering with my Citibank PremierMiles for free. BGS environment is much better.

i stay at city center, wang-fu-jing .. yesterday 4pm start journey, arrived near 6pm (2 hours jam).
but if midnight drive only 40min.
