Hello all,
Anyone know if we booking flight ticket online from singapore airline, can we get 5x TP by using Visa?
Im booking in Malaysia, and Singapore airlines website's location show "Malaysia". But the ticket is depart from Dubai and i choose to charge the currency in UAE dirham. Is this consider oversea or local transaction?

Is this card have maximum spending limit on TNB online bill payment,as my most expense is Tnb bill which at least 5 figure per month
*
if pay through mbb2u online bill payment , max i've successfully paid for TNB was not more than rm10k .
mbb service centre ask me to pay via tnb website then it will be no limit.

guys,
i've purposely used both MBB 2 premier amex & visa in gallery lafayette last week. Both transaction in same date and same posting date.

Maybank Visa Infinite
transaction date: 22/07/15
posted date: 23/07/15
amount: EU 108.42
amount charged: MYR 463.55
bank rate: 4.2755
visa rate: 4.1793
fee: 2.30%

Maybank Amex Reserve
transaction date: 22/07/15
posted date: 23/07/15
amount: EU 245.00
amount charged: MYR 1046.52
bank rate: 4.2715
oanda rate: 4.1447
fee: 3.05%

from here u see the amex reserve charge higher fee at 3.05%. visa infinite just 2.30%
but the amex bank rate is lower at 4.2715 , compare to visa bank rate 4.2755
at the end u get cheaper by using amex, even with higher bank fee.

hope this helps

Nidz,

i've tried to pay at tnb website as recommended by CS, like MGM said it will bring u to mbb website.. so makes no different.

end up i go tnb counter to make payment. but in counter also have limit 5k for each transaction, if 50k, u need to swipe and sign 10 times... doh.gif

hello guys,
im frequent flyer of Singapore airline, so im only have krissflyer account.
their business class to europe is zurich 160,000, amsterdam 120,000 points as example.

curious to know MAS businees to europe need how many points?

MAS business seat can lay down to become flat bed by one touch on button ?or need to manually flip down just like SQ business class... which i hate the most.

Haha im shocked too when i saw the 30K credit limit. So maybank use 1:1 conversion from SGD to RM? Think i'm going to cancel this card and apply UOB VI instead.
*
yes maybank is cheapskate for their credit limit. they only gave me 50k which is not enough for me to use. tried to apply credit limit increase but rejected, told me after 6 months only can apply. so now i have to pay the balance in advance to continue to use the card. doh.gif what to do, the TP=Airmiles is too attractive.

Continually spend 50k per month/ 600k per year
Maybank will invite you to get their Maybank diamanté VI

Even better than 2 card premier, if they dint sent you invitation you may call to ask, 600k annual spending is their diamanté invitation criteria.
*
thanks for info. actually im not spending 50k every 30days. i break the 50k limit in 30days + 20days interest free period from statement date. and this only happend 3times in past 6months i owned mbb cards. my average spending is only 35k/month. eligible for diamante?

Hmm..interested to know what you spend on for 35k/month? Is it personal/household monthly spending or do you use it to pay for all sorts of business/company expenses? sweat.gif
*
i've use it to settle my factory's tnb bill, around 15k/month.

QUOTE(minthiam @ Dec 13 2015, 12:35 PM)
Yes, I am also very curious. RM35k x 12 = RM420k, he will be getting 440k FFP miles in one year drool.gif
*
actually its impossible to get 440k FFP by spending rm420k. coz not everywhere accept Amex. Visa only 2xTP local.

i just check my TP online.. to my surprise that my TP is over 1million within half year. Amex contribute 65% of total TP.
im wondering its wether im under estimated my spending habit, or maybank wrong calculation and give me extra TP as X'mas gift...

few days ago i find out i've blown my credit limit again. call up SC request to let me thru for this transaction with only rm2800 before i manage to make advance payment...but they rejected.
i ask SC to check my previous spending style with excellent payment history, several times make advance payment to continue use the card.
and this time only rm2800 and i will make payment when i get home. still they reject my request.
maybank.. the most stingy bank i've ever face...
if not because of airmiles... ahem.. ahem..

How much are we talking about? I have only been with Maybank, Citi and Hong Leong. So far have not had any issues with my credit limit with Maybank, but I don't go anywhere close to the limit with them too. Citi is second highest, Hong Leong is the lowest. biggrin.gif Started out at about RM25k limit with Maybank when I first started working and never came close to using even 25% of that haha.
*
my Mbb is 50k limit.
Citi is higherst, x3 higher than Mbb. and they keep auto increase my limit from time to time until one day i stop them cause i don't need that much.

I have worked as a credit card cs before and everytime I get customer with this request I will sweat kao kao..if can u don't even have to tell them how good your history is, it doesn't benefit them for rejecting you at first.
*
as a ex-cs , mind to enlighten us what should we do to get approval? any tips? wondering why a good payment history doesn't help ?
