I just pick up my htc one at the bts service centre.i sent there around 1 week ago.i impressed on how they managed to fix my phone in a week because from what i  have read,it takes around 2-4 weeks for some people.until now my camera looks better.no purple tint at all but sometimes it turn greenish.i asked the person in charge at the service centre,it can be repaired in just 10 minutes, but the machines currently out of service.so need to come next time.unlucky me

Another different story about the green tint!! Previous one was this need a firmware update
I read here some users has solve themselves by tweaking the camera settings - is only a temporary workaround
I guess HTC is replacing with some different camera modules that only a minority is affected

I'm interested to know also...
Bcos after i sent to claim for the 1st time (around Sept 2013) the problem still remain after few weeks...
Just suspect did they really repair for me ? Or just do some hard reset then sent back to me ?
Yesterday just sent for the 2nd times claim (b4 warranty expired)...

They both are true.

Purple tint is due to hardware issues, and to counter the purple tint; they artificially tint it green to make it white again and they failed to rectify the original problem despite their attempt to do so.

Not sure.
Its just that HTC tried to rectify it.

When the sensor has a purple tint, they green it to make it whiter (slightly greenish)
When there sensor does't have purple tint, it still correct the purple tint, giving it a greenish tint. This is the only explanation that I could think of.

4G/LTE is data only n does not support any voice calls
Once a call comes in phone will auto downgrade to 3g or h/h+: this is true for all 4g telcos
Never faced such issues on my Maxis 4g
Did you set/force your phone to 4g always - change it to auto

Within 3 days of call but better make sure and give them a "reminder" call

Basically if your camera has OV4688 sensor means *hopefully* you're good to go.

Check with something like ES file explorer .. sys/android_camera/sensor

Yeah my sensor has been changed to OV4688 and it's working perfectly right now and I can vouch it doesn't heat up THAT often too. I'm an avid gamer

wahahaha.. from purple tint to red spots now green tint.

HTC should market it as a feature.. build in filters for camera! You don't need instagram with HTC!

Good product, good design, utter rubbish service and quality.

I've been "stress-testing" my phone lately as it just came back from RMA with the OV4688 and my warranty will run out soon. So far no green or purple tint even when shooting a very heated up phone.
