QUOTE(tps18489 @ Feb 16 2014, 09:35 PM) For me, it happens on all Android versions. I find that the range where the sensor works is very limited, i.e. the sensor can only detect an object that is at most 1cm apart and nothing further. Therefore, my ear has to literally touch the sensor part. If I happen to place the phone in such a way that the sensor faces the ear canal or ear hole then the screen will stay on. oh i reread your post again, i think i misunderstood u.. I'm not sure whether it's an inherent flaw of this phone. Does anyone mind experimenting with their phone? Thanks. Oh, my phone is on KitKat now. mine is working but the issue in 4.2 and 4.4.2 is the proximity sensor being over sensitive.. i usually dial number and look at the phone (distance is as normal we use the phone).. but the screen is blank.. this not happening in 4.1 and 4.3.. QUOTE(JunJun04035 @ Feb 17 2014, 02:21 AM) i think he mean crap is because of the purple tint.. in daylight the camera is superb! This post has been edited by mytaffeta: Feb 17 2014, 02:33 AM |

Hey,
Has anyone having bad battery drain past 2-3 days? I just lost 10% of battery while in airplane mode. I checked battery usage detail, and the phone has been awake constantly, and I can't even use wakelock detector because the permissions changed in 4.4. Google play services seems to be the culprit as I see the time awake matches the time since I disconnected from the charger and it's taking up a much larger portion of the battery usage than usual. |

for people saying this is a crap cam bla bla bla i can only suspect u sucks in photography><
Purple tint is definitely a let down, I'm blessed with a unit without the problem. This camera might not produce the best picture that packs lotsa punch but hey its a smartphone camera. CHEKCLIST: 1. decent camera for social platform sharing. YES 2. fast application loading, fast shutter. YES 3. responsive white balance. YES 4. good lowlight performance. YES 5. average file size less than 2 MB,space saving. YES. 6. Impressive minimum focal distance for macro. YES anyone else? I would rather take this phone than 1020 that lags secs for every pictures taken>< |

QUOTE(Xnet @ Feb 17 2014, 09:51 AM) The phone was marketed as the ultimate camera in a smartphone - Ultrapixel crapshit. Yes purple tint is crap. Nobody says it otherwise.Supposed to be awesome in lowlight conditions - yeah awesomely purple. I do hope HTC goes belly up soon so they cant con people anymore Crap even however you sugarcoat it is still crap Ultrapixel was meant to be a different path taken in mobile photography. Since its the first generation device that utilizes it I wouldn't expect too much. Hopefully the m8 would live up to expectations. Which company doesnt market it that way seriously. Look at the way Iphone and Sony advertises. Lets not be a victim of marketing like samsung want us to be. Again it might not be the best camera phone out there, Iphone never was and still isn't anywhere near the best. I suppose the word I'm looking for is reliability and the ONE never fails me in taking USABLE pictures at critical moments under harsh conditions. |

Anyone knows where is it now or how you disable push message? It is there in the stock Messages app. Won't appear if using other SMS app as default.I'm also looking for the setting to disable it. |

Anyone gets their HTC one battery temp rise above 47 celcius? I open up trickster mod and check the battery temp and it was 47 celcius and stated overheat. Is that normal. I'm posting this at 12.50pm noon time. The sun is hot
