Hi guys, this is a vendor related question. 2 weeks into usage just found out my unit has the infamous purple tint issue. Software is 4.4.2. I have went to and called HTC CS but they asked me to refer to the shop instead.
I bought it from di*ec*d and have phoned their hotline stating that i got a unit with known issue and if it is possible for replacement. Got a generic answer.
Wanted to check with users if anyone had experience replacing a unit with di*ec*d.

Can't blame them for selling you the purple tint issue set but i can tell you that most set in the market have such problem... can say it is 90% in the market! and the HTC isn't doing anything about it! Even the gold color batch I tested do have the 'purple tint' problem as well...

Mine didn't have the purple tint problem until I sent in mine for repair and got back with purple tint :S Anyway, I dont think directd is handling warranty claim (or repair service) unless it's AP set. So go to HTC service centre. Today, after 10 months of bearing the god damn purple tint and with another new thing - burn spot in the centre of screen when use the back camera lens, I called HTC call centre again and a pick up will come tomorrow. Just call up HTC and reference them your IMEI number and your details...if it is a legitimate purchase of a legitimate unit (which will be reflected in their records) they will process it as usual.

Dear all, Thanks for the feedback. I went to directd today. Lady at the counter said they will eventually send it back to HTC, so it's the same. That means the HTC agent at the service center was bullshitting me during my first trip.  I went back to the SC again today and was gonna throw a fit but surprisingly they took it. I send my phone back to them within 24 hours and they declared it as DOA so I claimed for one to one exchange. I called Directd every week for 3 weeks to check on my phone status but still nothing. Then, Mr. Bilton from Directd called me and ask me to come to their shop and he will give me a new phone bcoz the DOA process is taking too long. I went to the shop and Mr. Bilton give me free cover and continuously apologized to me even though it's not really Directd's fault. Very good after sales services. Kudos! Even so my new phone also got those purple tint but I just ignored it for the moment since I don't have backup phone. I will claim for warranty later. Sad.

HTC customer service is right. because if not mistake, some brother did type in this thread, say that new phone if problem within two weeks can request the seller do replacement. Pls read the old thread if it can help u.
