your AP set right? mine is original, and they told me no need to go to their shop but just go directly to htc. now waiting for my phone to be courier to me this Friday.

I bought my ORI set from directd. Mine didn't have the purple tint problem until I sent in mine for repair and got back with purple tint :S

Anyway, I dont think directd is handling warranty claim (or repair service) unless it's AP set. So go to HTC service centre.

Today, after 10 months of bearing the god damn purple tint and with another new thing - burn spot in the centre of screen when use the back camera lens, I called HTC call centre again and a pick up will come tomorrow. No time going to berjaya timesquare service centre.

Good luck to all of us if a repair (replace of lens) really fix it.

Hi All,

I sent my phone in for the purple tint issue and also a burn spot on back camera.
IT was sent on 17 Apr and i got it back last week 20 May. Nearly a month!

ANyway, my warranty is going to expire 3 days later on 29 May. I hope nothing bad will happen.

I noticed the battery dropped swiftly from 100% to 97% after unplugged it out from charger. It just happened within 2 mins. All sync was disabled even the blinkfeed to. It was on Wifi as well.

Why such thing happen i really have no idea. I just hope i dont have to pay for the battery replacement if i report to HTC before warranty ends.. sad.gif

Anyone has this battery issue ?

update: I reset the phone to factory default. It happened again.
100%, unplugged, within 2 mins down to 98%. It was with screen on, connected to wifi then saw dropped 2%
o_o

On 4.4.2 kit kat.

Well, there are always other apps that can take panorama shots like Google Camera.
*
Ahaa.., yeah that Google camera i will download in in while.

But still the feature was already there and why removed when it's useful whenever needed. Feels like .... not user friendly experience with HTC.

dude... panaroma is still there...

Oh found it. It's the icon right under the HDR option. No naming so didn't know what it was. doh.gif

QUOTE(evofantasy @ May 28 2014, 01:28 AM)
nope. mine in fact sped up with better battery life
*
Yeah battery life speed up a lot. Last longer. Before Sense 6 update, i found that for hte first 20%, it dropped 1% per minute! Yes 10 minutes then 10% battery gone.

Now it's already 4 hours 40 mins since unplugged from charger, I still have 93%. Fuiyo ! No regret updating it though dont quite like some of the thing like the People contacts widget is ugly, no more previous HTC wallpaper and ringtone and stuffs, etc.

Hi,

Just curious, which service centre did you send your phone to? And did they wipe your files? Thinking of sending my phone but wondering if need to backup everything.  Thanks!
*
Whenever send anything even laptop to service centre, we must do backup because they are not responsible for data lost. It's in the warranty disclaimer.

Before this upgrade, I checked the battery usage always and found that the ANDROID SYSTEM always the highest at 80% or more. It's like leaking :S

But after this sense 6 upgrade, the usage list changed which i think make more sense.

My app power usage now like this:
1) Whatsapp
2) HTC BLINKFeed (though i disabled it , dunno why still top the 2nd)
3) Android System
4) Chrome
5) Facebook
....
...

Hi Guys, my phone just came bk from service where they also changed my battery as told by them, even though i was just sending in for camera issue.

the problem is i feel like the battery drain super fast. For example, today my phone started at 86% at 10 am. with very little usage(fb a little), with 3g on(no lte) and not connected to wifi, my phone now (3.54pm) is at 30%.

Is this normal? Can you guys share with me ur how's ur battery performance like?

btw, their repair service is super bad, i sent in 3 times, all sort of problems came up and in the end i just live with it, until now seems like got battery problem.
*
Well i feel the 3G turned on does affect the battery performance no matter what.
Maybe you can try E since very little usage. Then monitor if the drop is dramatic.

BlinkFeed, I didn't do update to blinkFeed. But you maybe right, BlinkFeed could be awaken whenever wake the phone up even though disabled.
