QUOTE(Lurker @ Feb 7 2017, 02:07 PM) The biggest app in my collection is kodi, 100mb or so, the rest are 10, 20, 30mb.To have apps fill up available 5gb ram, u need 50 of them like kodi or 10x500mb apps Granted they will come 5 yrs from now or late4. But that also need something like 5gbps speed. By the, it be a whole new gen of boxes, probably very diff from what we have today. |

QUOTE(Khalid21 @ Feb 7 2017, 02:47 PM) oh…rk3399, new chipset from rockchip with VR capability. no wonder got 4GB variants.QUOTE(soyusa @ Feb 7 2017, 02:50 PM) I able to locate those tv box with 4GB of RAM, but could not find any TV box with 6GB of RAM. oh, 1 box is windows based, not surprise.4GB RAM with 32GB ROM http://www.gearbest.com/tv-box/pp_141994.html Amazon - http://a.co/eejqVIq or http://a.co/cyr5Of4 4GB RAM with 64GB ROM http://www.gearbest.com/tv-box-mini-pc/pp_376410.html another box is rockchip, kodi and spmc has dropped support on it. if not mistaken, s905 and s905x is hard limited by 2GB ram and s912 is hard limited by 4GB ram. i doubt those s905 box with 3GB ram will hav full 3072MB ram. plz enlighten me more about ram capacity vs chipset limitation. QUOTE(fruitie @ Feb 7 2017, 03:46 PM) I asked about the same thing too. android tv box will eventually become smart home entertainment hub, the increasing processing power and ram capacity will be inevitable. but for normal user who just use it for watching drama and live tv, 2GB ram enough la…of course no harm having more ram if one could afford it.Anyway, special thanks to dwRK for lending me an USB DAC. I have finally got my speaker running well. lol…finally use dac as we suggested early for better dynamic range sound, remember do setting on kodi/spmc. |

QUOTE(BOTAK_WAI @ Feb 7 2017, 03:07 PM) yup. i am tempted to upgrade to minix u1 If you can still use your current device.. I'd advise you hold off for the soon-to-be-released box from Minix. Especially if you are a frequent Kodi user. They've teased the device last year and it should drop sometime later in the year.taobao selling RM380 like that…includes shipping should be around RM420. |

Yes, just buy what is sufficient. I was looking at 16GB and 32GB, not much difference in pricing, so took 32GB but it comes with 3GB RAM. lol…finally use dac as we suggested early for better dynamic range sound, remember do setting on kodi/spmc. Yes, what a long painful journey. I will play around on the settings again. |

QUOTE(plateau @ Feb 7 2017, 05:31 PM) Use individually? Yes. Simultaneously? Difficult to achieve as it depends on the usual lot of factors. Headset compatibility, third party app (usually supplied by the headset maker), box's hardware and firmware.. Summary: do the test yourself and if it works..cool.. else, QUOTE(fruitie @ Feb 7 2017, 06:20 PM) System info within settings. |

Don't want to buy 2 Bluetooth headsets and find out later that it can't be used simultaneously. Maybe just buy cheapo ones to test first lol. |
