Hmmm, strange...Same box model + VIP10 + Latest KODI 15.2 and no buffering via Ethernet. What are the settings in your advancedsettings.xml file? Recheck if it's in the proper location and also that nothing major like a torrent client is running on your network.

Edit: Could also be a source problem... Sources like GVideo, VK and "something"gold/lab, have worked best IMO.
*
Yup no buffering using Kodi 15.2, try update to see the difference.

So, if u are planning to get a new TV, it may make sense to get the right 4K TV. Of course, if no plans to change TV, getting a box is the logical thing to do.
Agree smile.gif nowadays 4K TV cheap oredi. I got my Samsung 4K TV 48" for RM2899 and that was last year.
playing Netflix 4K contents are never been easier than direct play from the tv

Beside the usual watching videos, listening to music, what else can one do with a TV Box?

Possible to play games? Which program/add-on?

Thanks.
*
So many things if you mean android box, I mainly use it for streaming iptv via Netflix, kodi, iflix, astro on the go etc
U can play games as well, my minix x8 plus able to play games like asphalt but don't expect other big games where u need proper player like ps4.
I've seen people use torrent via android box but I haven't tried myself..

this can be easily done.

just install the torrent app, set the path to save in ext hdd, whatever folder u wish.

it is just as fast as on a pc.

but like all android apps, they are "less complete" in options compared to a full one on pc.
*
Nice to know thanks..I will stick to pc-based torrent then

for minix is it able to play netflix 4k contents ? or its still limited to only those devices stated at Netflix supported list ?
*
No, in my case Neo X8-H plus fails to play 4K Netflix content. But my Samsung TV does. Not so many box player certified by Netflix.

If you plan to change your tv, make sure it's Netflix certified.

Android boxes with 4K capability are now pretty standard.

But.... The youtube u install in it can at best get 1080p videos.

There are many UHD 4K videos on YouTube now.
Does anyone have a YouTube apk that can get 2160p or UHD 4K or at least 1440p videos?

Assuming you have UHD 4k tv, of course.
*
Yes, both my Samsung & LG 4K tv have Youtube apps that play 4K content.

However my Minix X8-H plus Youtube only can play up to 1080. Though the player itself support 4K video. The Youtube in minix apps does not.

Yes, and I know exactly why it doesn't work for you. It happened to me, only to realise that I inserted it the wrong way!

Try insert it with the connectors facing up..

Hi guys, I just bought my second Android Box two days ago (My first is Minix Neo X8-H bought two years back, very high quality android box!).

This second model is quite new on the market, I placed the order on Lazada on the 9th Nov, shipped from China, received it 11 days later. Cost me RM312 after coupon.

This model probably the best deal now I believe

It is H96 Pro+ Octa-Core, Marshmallow 6.0.1 TV Box (32GB) Amlogic S912 CPU / 3GB RAM / Android 6.0 / 802.11a/b/g/n / 4K*2K ultra HD

The best part is 3GB Ram and 32GB Rom!

After two days playing with it, I would say it's very stable, fast in gaming, play 4K videos with ease, Kodi and other IPTV apps work flawlessly.

It's really worth buy!

Anyone else got this model and care to share any issue? Tq

This is about android box H96 Pro+ I mentioned sometimes last November.
There are two extra USB ports next to TF card slot.
I made some cuts on the casing to expose these usb ports.

There are functioning! rclxms.gif

What do you guys do with so many ports? Mine comes with 4 USB ports but I only use one. laugh.gif
*
Well, three ports are good enough for me. One is for the air mouse, the other one permanently for
the hardisk linked to Kodi.

The third one is for the flash drive when needed.

These days I just transfer files (usually APKs) from ES File Explorer, it saves me the hassle of copying from PC and pasting to thumb drive. laugh.gif Just using one for my Logitech K400r - keyboard+touch pad.

Good! Nowadays it's either cloud storage or networking one!
