wonder if 4k screen , GTX860 can run smoothly when gaming
*
you can hardly game at 4k with 860m... can even say is useless for gaming dry.gif

conclusion: dont waste your money on 4k gaming, better to spend on other gaming features

anyone own the 4k model yet?

hmm the screen monitor is locked at 48hz refresh rate plus bad scaling issue while gaming in 1080p, imo not a right time to get y50 with 4k screen now.

and also guys i just got to know MSI GE60 2PE-293MY Apache Pro is having similar spect and also price same. Do suggest me on among this  models....looking forward for reply.

im using GE60 2PE laugh.gif i would say the IPS screen is awesome if compare to y50 or G551, but not sure bout acer v nitro.

why i go for this machine mainly because it has more gaming features: steelseries multicolor backlit keyboard, killer lan and better storage! Usually the HDD comes with 5400rpm for most of the brands, but MSI is the one who gives 7200rpm, pretty good value i think thumbup.gif

yeah im also almost decided on MSI but then I saw ASUS ROG that partcualr model G551JM with 4GB GDDR5 ram making me tempting since its much more better compared to MSI. And also I heard MSI laptops gets hot fast and durability wise is it really good as ASUS? acer i put in lowest priority

mine so far so good, but asus after sales service really terrible, so i din consider asus at all doh.gif check this thread https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2337458

If I were you, I'd go for MSI. Reason is because like a Macbook, they provide the best inside parts in any laptop for gaming I've seen. Killer LAN is one of their well known term for a super strong WIFI receiver. That's just one example among the many.

yup.. msi has quite some variants of gtx970m model to choose from - gt72, gs70 or gs60, and now got the latest ge62 drool.gif steelseries multicolor keyboard is a kill.. haha

Any opnion on MSI PE60?
illegear z5 is good but warranty claiming would be issue as I not stay in KL
Acer nitro seen like having heat issue n need tweak cooling profile...
lenovo y50, screen is a big no for me....

i need the workstation having good screen for photoshop, cad design, and gaming purpose...

PE60 is good for you as it comes with 100%sRGB panel thumbup.gif

If you gaming more then may be consider the GE62, both sharing the same chassis.
