Just got back from my 8D trip to Jeju+Seoul. Was an awesome trip overall thumbup.gif

One thing that amaze me in Korea is, it's very hard to find rubbish bins sweat.gif unlike Msia, there isn't much rubbish bins available even around the tourist area e.g. myeongdong / nandaemun market haha so be prepare to hold on to your rubbish till you find the nearest rubbish bins laugh.gif

anyone know about the tax refund process?

There was one day I was shopping in a department store and bought some skin care. The staff told me can get tax refunded so I went to a counter and got it refunded. However, I was being told that I need to declare my items at the customs in the airport before check in, which I didnt because I saw a long queue.

Anyone know what will happen next? lol

In South Korea at the moment. On the way to Seoul from Pyeongchang. Weather in Pyeongchang about -10 to -15 for the last three days. Snowed for two days so skiing was excellent. Love Yongpyong Resort.

it depends on whether you think worth it or not. it's a common itinerary from a tour agency

Back from Seoul + Jeju ......overall good trip but weather was really too cold for me. Went for ski at Yongpyong resort, recommended!! the kids were very cool when they ski pass through me as I'm still newbies and fell few times, butt pains like hell.

thumbup.gif Wow Seoul + Jeju & Yong Pyong almost like me.
Had to agree the weather is too cold, the first few days is ok coz first time experience cold weather after that is very torturing because no matter how much layer you wear.. your hand, feet & face will feel so cold till it numbs sweat.gif

YongPyong is 1 of the best in Korea, not sure about Jisan though.

Yes weather is very cold, wear thick gloves and leather boots if possible. Don't wear sports shoes if possible it's not suitable there as the wind will blow the cold wind into your feets sweat.gif

Seoul is a bit unpredictable, and it won't have heavy snow like the rest of Korea. Even it snows it will be a while only.

I will be going to Korea in May. Thought of buying a SmartPhone there. Will it work in Malaysia?

I remember I had my old Nokia 5800 while I was in Korea back in 2012 running on Maxis PrePaid. I was able to receive call from Malaysia.

You are probably right. But I am aiming for phones that you cant buy here, those with unique design that is not common here in M'ysia. Maybe a clamshell?
