i want to ask if i want to buy the shuttle bus + entrance ticket to nami island, can i buy the ticket over travel agency in malaysia or online reservation?

actually i went nami island once, but that time is i directly go to the bus and buy the ticket immediately, but this time we have 12 pax travel together, so i am thinking it will be better if i buy the ticket in advance.

2 more weeks for my turn to korea. its been 10 years+ since i was there so i'm kinda forgotten how many layers of clothes did i wear. i only wear a tshirt + jacket back then when i was in melbourne in winter and it's still alright. probably i need to get a thicker clothes for this korea trip?
*
Just came back from Korea last week. I think for upper part heat tech + long sleeve + down jacket, while lower part heat tech + long pants. That's all. Actually, what is really important is hat, scarf and hand glove because your head and hand are the parts really contact with the cold air outside.

Especially your ears, so better to get a hat that can cover your ears. And scarf that can cover your nose when the air gets too cold for your nose. As for glove better to get touch screen glove so that you can use your phone outside without taking the glove out. You can get that at 2000~5000won in Korea (try to look at subway station. It's cheaper there). You can buy pocket hot pack at convenience store if it really gets too cold and you don't to wrap yourself up with glove, scarf and stuff. You can get three pocket hot pack with 1000won.

Don't worry too much if you are not planning to stay outdoor too long. Heaters are available indoor so if you gets too cold just walk in any building (or bus) for a while to warm yourself up.

Lastly Korea is not /that/ cold. What makes Korea hard to survive during winter is the wind, so if you are lucky enough to be there on the days that are not windy, winter in Korea is really enjoyable.

Yep, I've done it before. I did so via maybank. Had to visit the counter and fill up a form plus additional charge for the transfer. The detail that you need from the Guesthouse owner are:

1) Their bank's SWIFT code
2) Name of bank
3) address of bank

and make sure to tell the bank that you will bear the transfer fees.
*
Oh ok. I got the swift code and bank details. So i can bank into any bank of korea?
Can i change into korean won myself then ask them to transfer it? Because sometimes bank rates are high.
Do you remember how much was the transfer charges?

Thanks! smile.gif

Yes, with that details you can go ahead and transfer it to any banks in Korea.
And no, I do not think you can give Malaysian Bank the Korean Won and ask them to transfer it. In fact, while I was transferring my cash to a bank in Korea, the bank had to convert it to USD first and then transfer it to the Korean Bank.

(if you have elders or kids along it's not easy. climb up take at least 40 mins (1 way) for Msian speed lolz. unless you are actively in climbing)

Thanks. for the advice. If we decide not to climb up to peak, do you think we should still go there ? as we need to pay 2000krw for entrance .... Or we still go there, but stay below the mountain. Do you think worth taking my time to go thre ?

• 5pm - Seopji-koji, 2000krw/pax, 9am – 6pm, tel: 782-7800, free and easy, famous for Korea drama scenery and light house (if you go around this time, i suggest you better don't go)

can i know what is the reason ? i saw it open till 6pm, somemore i plan to watch sunset during this time.

• 8pm – go Cheonjiyeon waterfall, 2000krw/pax, 7am – 10pm, tel: 733-1528, walk about 1km, waterfall lit up at night. (i suggest you don't go at night as surrounding is quite dark)

This one i purposely go at night because its famous for night light, very beautiful scene. Yes. i will take note of the safety issue.

*exclude the meals, attraction ticket, land and public transport, and not include the car rental in Jeju yet. Total budget should be around RM4000 plus minus. (roughly from your itinerary, i don't think RM4k is enough for you tongue.gif)

for 4 persons, each 4k. total 16k. If most of things and meals can be share, i think 4k per pax should be enough for this trip.....

Any street food is nice. It's the best to eat hot Hoddeok & tteobokki in cold winter.

Some restaurants I went which I would recommend:
Myeongdong Gyoja
Stone Uncle Cheese Pizza (돌쇠아저씨)
Standing eat bbq (站着吃牛肉)
Uchino Curry Rice
Dalk-eul-ro-ga-nen-ma-eul spicy bbq chicken (닭으로 가는 마을)
Myeong-run handmade noodle (명륜손칼국수)
Eat, rest and pay (먹쉬돈나)

You can find all of them by Googling

P.s. Some are not halal, do check before you go.
