Seoul is very credit card friendly place... even small makan place accepts CC (without the "you-no-cash" look)

That's how you should set your mindset when travelling... use dollar-to-dollar comparison (drop the currency).
Or else you won't be able to eat or drink or buy anything in your overseas travels.

I exchanged at money changer in mid valley at 3.20 yesterday. Can I use credit card in lotte mart and faceshop? Credit card rate is definitely much better.

You can use CC practically anywhere in Seoul... even at 7-11 cool2.gif

I will be going to Korea in May. Thought of buying a SmartPhone there. Will it work in Malaysia?

I remember I had my old Nokia 5800 while I was in Korea back in 2012 running on Maxis PrePaid. I was able to receive call from Malaysia.

Smartphone in Korea ain't any cheaper there

MyTeksi I scare later no teksi around my area want to fetch... I don't have buffer time leh.. finish job at 1-2pm then need to reach airport before 4pm.

To be safe, I booked a taxi from http://www.taxi2klia.com/home.php
Thanks for the suggestion! I will use MyTeksi app when I'm not that in the rush to a place next time.  biggrin.gif

That's where MyTeksi is cool... urgent rush hour is best to use them. You'll be surprise how many taxis are in your area.

Hi, need some advice regarding weather in Seoul. Will be traveling with kids (youngest 5 years old) in end of Oct. From the forecast it's about 16-4 Celsius. Now, some of my friends said it's cold, must prepare long john, down jackets etc. But others said it's just nice and chill only, long shirt plus thick jacket will do. So I'm in dilemma, how should I prepare for the trip. Never been to cold country before so everything have to buy and I don't wanna over bought. TIA.
*
How cold/hot is dependent on the individual fat content... if you are FAT, you don't need long john, if you are Chopstick size, then you probably need it. brows.gif rolleyes.gif whistling.gif

Buy at Seoul if what you brought is not sufficient. Buy when necessary.
