I hv tinted several cars with 3m crystaline and i do agree with some posts here that they do become blur after some time. It can be very obvious at night.

This is especially so for 1 of my car that is parked under the sun most of the time. I can only deduce that the tint, although good at what it does (ie heat rejection), its life span is shortened if parked under the sun daily.

No issues on peeling or bubbles for all my cars for 3m.

I love 3m for the heat rejection but am kinda irritated that i hv to replace 2 cars windscreen tint coz of the blurring issue. So kinda wanna try something else now

Anyway, i wld like to ask if anyone can recommend any shop/shops that does llumar - good price and workmanship. I used llumar on my car many years ago and wld like to gv it a try again

Which screen gets blurred, is it front , side or rear windscreen? If its rear, than most likely due to glass heater.

Alot oem brands selling at cheap price with high IRR 95+ below Rm1000 (better dont take coz irr drop very fast) . Fresh install is good but after months will degrade. Oem brand usually from china /taiwan made film but they rebrand thierself (inhouse brand)

3M is a good reliable brand that manufacture their tint film and import from USA.

I send u a pm if u need more details, or can check my topic for window tint/coating . Thank you.

my car is coming soon, plan to get 3m tint.

One last question is if I go for CR20 for rear window, will it be too dark for daily driving? Since my car is a hatch back i dont mind as at least it will cover up what I am hiding behind the seat/boot
*
i'm using the CR20 for rear doors and rear windscreen, tested in multiple scenarios including pitch dark night time driving, day time with various sunlight condition - so far so good,

at night i can still see the rear lights and car plus the light glare is also reduced

privacy wise from outside - superb

hi all sifu, can advise for serena if the back seat window and rear screen use VLT 10% only, will it be too dark? like if the passenger can still see outside during night time or not?

wanna balance privacy vs the real life applicability

Hey guys, getting a new ride soon. Used Haverkamp tint for 4 years and it was exceptional performance however it has been discontinued sad.gif. Planning to go 3M crystaline 20% but can someone advice what's a reasonable price to geit it done? I've been quoted 3.5k (G20 3 series by the way) but im seeing people getting it done around 2k+?

Hi Sifu,

Quoted RM1,750 for the below. Reasonable?

LLUMAR
T4-50 (SECURITY FILM)
🚙Heat Rejection : 90%
🚙VL Transmission : 50%
🚙UV Rejected : 99%

3M - RM1388. Reasonable? Never use 3M before. Not sure whether the product is good or not.

FWS - CR70
Front side - CR50
Rear side + RWS - Ebony 40

Just make sure it is genuine for 3m. Many case of fake 3m tint. Agreed that vkool the best based on my experience on heat rejection

Anyone tried 3M IR Ceramic before? I've a few cars tinted with Crystaline and I think it's awesome but my 3M guy is asking if I want to try out the IR Ceramic series since it has darker films and relative similar performance at slightly cheaper price.

Any experience with IR Ceramic series?
