If there are little bubbles after tint is applied, do we have to wait for some time for it to settled down? Was told it will go away within a week but I'm just wondering how is the air going to escape? Any comments from the sifus?

guys may i know what tint brand you bought that have bubble.
my fren used to work in 3m tint. told me dont ever trust those cheap tint. it may give you heat resist, but will not last long and will bubble over years...... its not due to demister~

ic, seems warranty is very important.. as long as have 7~10 years warranty would be best. 

Hi guys, newbie here.. what do u suggest for below 1000 budget for whole car? what spec? never actually tint a car before.. last time i remember tinting my car in 2007 on my 1st model saga which only costs around RM150 (cap ayam, faded already).. never send any car to tint since then..

so, is it sufficient to get a decent tint with this kinda budget? if you have a better suggestion, do suggest (brand, budget & product) since im pretty noob in this section.. (budget can stretch up to 1.5-2k) Thx sifus!

Sigh, starting to notice lines appearing on my windscreen (Raytech Ultra 70). My other car has Ultra 70 too but so far no lines appearing yet, it was fitted 1 year ago... is it the recent batch have quality issue? Should not be workmanship since both cars done at same place.

Damn unlucky this round since my windscreen was replaced twice, first tint had very obvious lines (waves), then second one had dents on it 😩 current one initially I noticed a bit of lines but not obvious so I ignore it, then now seems more areas have it. My old Myvi last time install cheap Rikecool had this issue only after 4 years, this one less than 3 months only 😩

Doing 3M Crystaline/Scotchshield all around for midsize SUV... got offered RM2000...

But problem with 3M is not friendly to SmartTag.. thinking of changing the windscreen only to Vkool maybe Elite (thats the best?). Tint provider asking for RM300 extra for that option...

I need some advice.
If this has been discussed before or there is other thread do guide me correctly.

I plan to change my existing car tint. Only concern I have at this moment is will peeling of old tint damage defroster line?
I had asked 2-3 shops (different brands of tint) and their responses are risky & no warranty. As summary they wont guarantee if the system dont work after do new tint installation. I guess this is normal response as they want to safe guard themselves.

By the way my car is Honda Civic year 2015. Took it on Jan 2016, with tint job done by Advance I Tint (the particular Honda dealer’s supplier).

Reason I would want to change are due to the tint start to peel of itself and want better heat rejection tint.

My advice, stay away from VKool if you need to use your GPS to navigate around. SmartTag is okay but need to drive very slow to pass through, but gatepass can't use and autogate remote reduced. Alternatively on the expensive side of tint, perhaps 3M Crystalline. Or mid range, Llumar, Hamel, etc.

Salesman will sure say improve la, GPS no problem la, gatepass no problem la, just to secure sales (usual salesman talk la, which salesman will say their product is bad? Don't get misled.). After pasang, no improvement. Don't believe the VKool salesman.

After comparing and survey.. finally I decided to go with raytech.. previous car all v kool and 3m... give a try for raytech. Today tinted at puchong raytech.. I think today is Saturday many car and the workmanship is not that good they all rushing .. can completed my car less than an hour... on the way back home notice a small dust inside wanna claim warranty ... called back puchong branches and asked to claim in any branch.. so I go glenmarie raytech that nearby but kena halau said it’s workmanship issues they don’t want layan me.. and I ask to help to test the tint IRR those and the boss said only HQ got.. very unprofessional

That is my experience ... will update the quality of raytech MX after few more weeks .

Yes, you should drop them a line and enquire. Passat and Sorento is a common model, So hopefully they have stock for these 2 models. Good luck.

I think vcool will have problem with GPS / signal waze right? Due to its metal base tint...

3M only have problem with smart tag (but it can be solve, just ask the installer for the method). No problem for GPS /waze/ phone signal for 3M

2013 high spec tint at canny cool subang SS15 RM1100

Site windows all working fine with good heat rejection but the only issue i facing was the back wind screen degraded and become blur vision !!!!!

Let say if i going to change a new car for next year, it is worth to go for 3M for more durable & quality + heat rejection ? Thanks
