Just got a new swift and dealer gave me a discoun voucher for Tint Master.
Any advice on this tint brand? Or should I burn this voucher and go for a better brand but I don't really have a high budget sad.gif

If you have limited budget below RM1000, go for it
If you are willing to fork out RM1500 for better tint then just dispose it.
The voucher is actually marketing gimmick

VLT 'only' 58%? Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems that you might not understand VLT clearly.

VLT is Visible Light Transmitted, which is the percentage of visible light that passes directly through filmed glass.
The higher the number, the lighter the film.

So based on these numbers, Centurion RX4 film for example is JPJ compliant, because the required VLT is at least 70% for front, and 50% for side and back. This film VLT is 58%, higher than JPJ requirement which is 50%.

Oh, for the front they'll not set up the same film as the side / back.
For example, Centurion RX4 package usually used:
- V90 non-security film for the front with VLT 70%, and
- RX4 security film at the side and back with VLT 58%.

So, both pass JPJ compliant because the VLT is same / higher than required. I assume this is true for other package and other brands.  smile.gif Unless you specifically request a specific tinted for the front that less than 70% VLT.

Calling Lord Gitsy for further confirmation.  biggrin.gif
Yeah, this is the real issue. Well cannot blame them though, those film are built assuming every car glass is 100% light transmitted. So, those film are already JPJ compliant, but when combining with our car glass, it become the opposite, not compliant anymore. Haha  biggrin.gif

That's why usually some tinted film adviser said they can handle if we got JPJ letter, because they can settle it (by proving to JPJ that their film is already JPJ compliant). But if need to check by Puspakom, they might cannot help settle. Puspakom don't care your film JPJ compliant or not.  laugh.gif

Hi guys, sorry i am busy these days, sorry for late reply.
I think everybody know the front windscreen the VLT must above 70% and VLT for the side and the back should above 50% in order to compliant with JPJ rules. Centurion 4mil VLT58% is only apply for the side, should have not problem at all. In Centurion 4mil package, the front will be Raytech Ultra 70. Indeed, most of the glass is not 100% clear, so we need higher VLT film to apply on the glass to make sure it is still compliant with JPJ.

Message from Raytech Malaysia, we will still continuously offering JPJ and Polis guarantee to all customer no matter what happened.

I just applied Raytech Ultra70 (Front) + V97 (Rear) + CS85 (Side). I've another car apply 3M Crystalline Series.

So I can compare side by side.

Many people said that 3M Crystalline Series is the best film in the market for maximum heat rejection. I agreed on that UNTIL I decided to try Raytech on another car.

Wow! Impressive outcome. Although I installed CS85 (IRR 85%) but it just as great as Crystalline Series (IRR 99%). Probably due to Raytech film is darker compare to 3M. So I don't really feel the heat. I don't feel the "burning pain" with Raytech. With 3M, I still can feel the "pain" - although 99% IRR as stated.

Talks about leaving the car for 3 hours under hot sun. Emm.. draw! Both has great heat rejection when the car parking under hot sun. I can jump into the car after 2-3 minutes. The leather seats for both cars were slightly hot but bearable.

Sexy. Raytech win! This is personal preference. As mentioned above, 3M film is so clear - just like you never done tinting before. Raytech is darker and highly reflective. So cool when you see from a distance smile.gif

Price/Value: Raytech win again! Maybe I get a good deal from @Lord Gitsy - but truly value for money. Top notch product and customer service!

3M or Raytech? It's up to your personal preference. Both has comparable heat rejection performance. 3M tint is clearer while Raytech is darker. If I given another chance, I will still go for Raytech biggrin.gif

Guys, wanna ask something. I remember i saw a video where this guy was really high in his Myvi and the Bomba try to break open the glass but no matter how hard he tries, he cant break it, not even a scratch. Is that also some kinda security tint or have to replace the entire glass window? Too much crime this days, sigh...
