Guys, here is my recommendation.

I've tinted my new car at Raytech Bangi. Security tinted package CS85 5 mil at the side with VLT 56%, TSER 56% and IRR 85%. For the front they're given me V90 with VLT 70% and IRR 90%. This place provide waiting room with air-cond and they even played movie, so I'm not bored while waiting my car ready.

My opinion for the tinted? I'd say this is quite a premium one with affordable price! Very satisfied! thumbup.gif Great workmanship, good quality of tinted film and I don't feel hot at all although the temp outside is 40c++! No need to enable aircond, just fan is enough even in the hottest day if you want to save your fuel. biggrin.gif

Although I do have 3M voucher, (and I do agree 3M is one of the best car tinted beside Raytech, VKool and some others) I never regret of my decision. In addition, the package I got from Raytech give better VLT and TSER compare with 3M, with cheaper price regardless of using that voucher or not. brows.gif

I definitely recommend Raytech to others, just like few friends that recommend me this brand when I'm getting my car before. Also thanks to Lord Gitsy explanation of car tinted, it was a very good one and easier to understand. smile.gif

Hi,

Are all the Raytech films JPJ compliant? I'm looking at the Centurion RX4mil, VLT only 58%? Infact, all the films seems non compliant  sweat.gif

Anyhow I'm no pro, please correct me accordingly.

VLT 'only' 58%? Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems that you might not understand VLT clearly.

VLT is Visible Light Transmitted, which is the percentage of visible light that passes directly through filmed glass.
The higher the number, the lighter the film.

So based on these numbers, Centurion RX4 film for example is JPJ compliant, because the required VLT is at least 70% for front, and 50% for side and back. This film VLT is 58%, higher than JPJ requirement which is 50%.

Oh, for the front they'll not set up the same film as the side / back.
For example, Centurion RX4 package usually used:
- V90 non-security film for the front with VLT 70%, and
- RX4 security film at the side and back with VLT 58%.

So, both pass JPJ compliant because the VLT is same / higher than required. I assume this is true for other package and other brands. smile.gif Unless you specifically request a specific tinted for the front that less than 70% VLT.

Calling Lord Gitsy for further confirmation. biggrin.gif

Most of the tints offered by big brands are not JPJ compliant.. Nowadays our car comes with tinted glass so VLT has been reduced. Unless you tint the clearest tint, or else it is almost impossible to get JPJ compliant though.  whistling.gif

Yeah, this is the real issue. Well cannot blame them though, those film are built assuming every car glass is 100% light transmitted. So, those film are already JPJ compliant, but when combining with our car glass, it become the opposite, not compliant anymore. Haha biggrin.gif

That's why usually some tinted film adviser said they can handle if we got JPJ letter, because they can settle it (by proving to JPJ that their film is already JPJ compliant). But if need to check by Puspakom, they might cannot help settle. Puspakom don't care your film JPJ compliant or not. laugh.gif

If you have limited budget below RM1000, go for it
If you are willing to fork out RM1500 for better tint then just dispose it.
The voucher is actually marketing gimmick

Cannot agree more. nod.gif

Hi guys, sorry i am busy these days, sorry for late reply.
I think everybody know the front windscreen the VLT must above 70% and VLT for the side and the back should above 50% in order to compliant with JPJ rules. Centurion 4mil VLT58% is only apply for the side, should have not problem at all. In Centurion 4mil package, the front will be Raytech Ultra 70. Indeed, most of the glass is not 100% clear, so we need higher VLT film to apply on the glass to make sure it is still compliant with JPJ.

Message from Raytech Malaysia, we will still continuously offering JPJ and Polis guarantee to all customer no matter what happened.

This is the kind of assurance that we want. Good job Raytech thumbup.gif
