Hi guys.

How do you get the Peugeot Privilege Card? Does it come for free with the car? Is it only available with certain packages? I don't have any card but I have a sticker on my windscreen that says Peugeot Privilege...

That is not normal, head light should not dim. Does not happen on my car which is also the 408T. I don't think it will cause your car to come to a stop, but it's best to get it fixed assp.

Btw how is Peugeot service support in Thailand.
*
Thanks for information. Im at the SC now sending my car for check and waiting for result. Peugeot service in Thailand is the same as what you all are facing in Malaysia, it got worst during last 5 years when the previous dealer was operating PEUGEOT THAILAND. I used to own 406 and had to sell it due to bad service from SC.

Until the last couple year when the FRENCH head office noticed a bad operation and then they send their own FRENCH people to operate for PEUGEOT THAILAND now named as EUROPEAN MOTORCARS. Service improved and sales improved a lot and thats why i bought 408T. I really Love Peugeot cars as i think its a lot better comparing with other cars in the same segment! I have many cars with me and PUG is my most favorite!

As for 408T, i have used for 25k now and till now happy with the car and its efficiency, i had my battery dead and then got new one changed without cost from SC. Then i had sensor issues where i believe you all also faced the same and then got it changed as well.

Also my water pump failed during 20k and got changed under warranty. Water pump failure is common in 408T owner in Bangkok.

For the current issue im waiting for result from SC and shall give you update of what the cause of problem is.

PUG 408 NA cost 1090000 baht and PUG 408T cost 1290000 baht. Recently just launched 408 SPORTIUM cost 1390000 baht(same model as 408 GRIFFE)

Anyway, wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR and glad to have such forums where i can share information. Hope you all accept me as one of the members!

P.S - attached are some of my DIY modifications i made myself!

I believe its 'pakai buang' item such as plastic wrap for steering and gear knob, plastic cover for seat and ect.. breakfast also counted in ( from my point of view)..huhuhu...
*
If that's the case, it consider quite expensive also for 'pakai buang' items and some SC don't even serve breakfast. =)

Bro kob1488, very glad to have you as a member of our group. All the problems you have had are similar to ours. That will be the case as all 408s for ASEAN is assembled in Malaysia. Peugeot support and service in Malaysia has improved a lot as compared to previous agent. Of course there's all ways room for more improvement. As more and more Peugeots are sold the challenge will be greater. I hope the agent in Malaysia realizes this is good and steps up to the plate.

I've had my car for 18months. Other than battery change no other problems. Thought I had a leaky water pump. That wasn't the case. Your DIY looks great, well done.

The prices for 408s in Thailand appear pretty much the same as in Malaysia.

Keep us posted on your problem. Thank you.

Picking up the car tomorrow as i let the sc do wheel alignment as well. Thought delkor battery would last but not really. Sc said maybe the one i got was a defect one do they had put a new one for me, but still delkor brand. So this is my third battery now...

I am surprised it's the battery again. Especially since the source of electrics at the time of your problem is not from the battery. Did the SC do a systems diagnosis. Anyway tks for the alert. Most of us have gone on to 2nd battery. I guess that is an item to keep an eye on.

I changed my battery 6 months ago,OK till now. Anyone here having problems with 2nd battery? jessyeo was 1st to go on 2nd battery. Any feedback?

yes, the SC had made full diagnosis and no sign of any electric problem other than battery not providing enough voltage, Once they changed the battery everything returned normal. Yea i think it is good to monitor your battery constanly.

Sorry, I was forgot to update my car status after checking. See red color

Tomorrow checklist :

-Brake issue
They service brake only (did cleaning on brake pad). Still monitor it currently. FYI, In China, many 408 user also have similar problem. Finding is water caused layer of rust between brake pad and disc brake after couple of time so when car start moving, friction will happened and then we hear that noise.
-front passenger door stepper have rattle noise, like ti-tok-ti-tok when opening or closing
After checked, confirm limit door arm loose, tighten it and problem solved.
-front have rattle noise when on the rough road, don't know where it come from.
After checked, SA told me that one of the screw in the windows loose, they already tighten it. But rattle noise still there.
-rear have rattle noise when on the rough road, don't know where it come from.
SA said check already but rattle noise still there. End up, I check it by self, rattle noise are came from plastic cover of 3rd brake light. I dismantle it and then put some electrical masking tape around the cover to avoid plastic contact to plastic. So far no rattle noise anymore. Will continue monitor it...
-when closing the door, rear boot have noise, sound like "bo" (maybe pressure).
SA said check already but problem still there.
-driver seat problem. maybe screw losing
SA said this is normal
-one of the plastic not proper installed, misalignment (between rear seat and door) i think clip already broken.
SA said this is normal

that's all. I think I can "sleep" in the SC because too many thing to check and they works very slow as well

I can said, Peugeot service below my expectation shakehead.gif
Spend almost 7 hrs in SC, but nothing be done... wasting my annual leave

Well, it is because a French product supports by Mahresian. My 2 cents, ignore the fools and continue enjoy our car. I am still trying to get attention from Peugeot, France. LOL.

I will turn off everything before turning of the engine.

Reason being: it will drain more battery when you start your car while everything is on. including radio
