Currently, AW17 cannot be ordered thru Dell website anymore. I think they are stocking up the new components.

Guys, any ideas? I'm totally screwed! cry.gif

Long story short, was cleaning up the vents as usual on my M15x, as it was starting to overheat. So in order to do that there are tons of stuff to remove, so after cleaning it, I'd noticed that non of the screws on the heatsink for the CPU side are able to get back into the holes, then only I'd noticed that the holes are just holes, nothing to hold the screws in anymore. My guess it due to the heat and everything, the holes that were ok before were too hot and dry till they crumbled, so now I can't seem to fit the screws in and the heatsink is having problems contacting, so the heat does not disperse properly.

What do I need to change? The whole motherboard? icon_question.gif

The four holes that seems different from this picture is that this has like metal parts, mine totally black, just holes. cry.gif

oh when you took the cpu heatsink out you didn't notice anything weird? perhaps the screw holders were still attached to the screws?

Nope, not there at all. It was loose to start with, so I didn't had any difficulty like the first time removing it.

standard 60Hz. 120Hz is for 3D, and you will pay a load of bucks for that.

the person to talk to is putochip123. meanwhile, you could try to fix this by replacing the screw holders with something else. it's a temporary measure, and the chance are slim to fix it properly.

I personally like matte screen because its not that glary like a mirror. But most of the time I use my laptop indoors maybe wont be so bad biggrin.gif

Personally have not used a glossy screen before time will tell tongue.gif

need some skills to get chrome wrapping though. one simple mistake and wrong tool can lead to air bubbles or visible scratches.

ah it's all about personal preference haha. a glossy screen is reflective but the color quality is really nicer.
