QUOTE(raymondtong94 @ May 4 2014, 12:05 PM) take note before buying cards with GTX800M cards. as stated by putochip123, he stated that current GT800M cards are still based on Kepler architecture, which could be a tuned up variant of previous generation cards. performance increase is around 20% more than previous generation card. if you are dying for latest architecture, please wait and if urgent to get a laptop, just get now. maxwell FTW!

still if the new laptop comes with a 880m, i think he should just take it.
in terms of performance reasons, i think putochip123 is mainly referring to upgrades, which is not worth it because of only minor performance boosts compared to our current cards. (but if you have an entry-level card, you still should upgrade imo)

QUOTE(okf987 @ May 2 2014, 12:54 AM) Maybe about 1k? just something that is more than enough to make use of the AW17 soundcard. Edit: Just took a look at Jaben's store and holy !@#$ so many models too choose from lol. I could get lost in choosing the perfect one I have replied you in the Audiophiles forum. And btw, Jaben is not the only headphone enthusiast store in Malaysia. There is one in Sungei Wang too that sells alot of respectable brands too.

The UPS option is too expensive. Just get the traceable USPS one. I ordered one and it's on the way. You gonna get the custom shields?

I dont know I chose the color and than a mandatory shield. not really custom just default from the list that is available in this case I chose matte black and black shields. Not confirm yet got 4 shipping options the $40 shipping in 6-10 business days with tracking is the one you choose?

yeah saw that a while back. that sick mod is really tempting :/
however i rather build a desktop, instead of applying this mod to 18, because i can just put whatever psu that i want, safely.

That psu mod gave me an idea for those who needs Asus G Series adapter. Instead of buying from Asus. A mod like the AW could be applicable with 2x 90W(estimate max 180w) AC adapter from LYP. Although it seems that the r6 is nearly out to the public since SG is already selling them. So i try not to look at their website anymore.

Currently, AW17 cannot be ordered thru Dell website anymore. I think they are stocking up the new components.
