Meanwile, need everyone opinion on my dilemma..

I only recently joined a IT MNC company, managel level position.

But recently offered only an exec position from Petronas, but with higher salary..

If you are in my position which do you pick and why?

personally, I'd rather be an executive with salary of a CEO rather than the other way around. money puts food on the table, not position.

or is there other concern that you have? e.g. career growth, work environment, etc.

Well, each to own reason. Some want authority more than extra wealth.

Im already on my mid 30's, having the title and authority is good for a middle age man like me but earning more money & security is a good consideration too..

What it's like working with PETRONAS? I know the health benefit is the best but what should i be aware of before i decide to join?

Which opu? It may vary but ceiling is 17k. There’s overlap of course between p4 & p5. Internal promotion p5 could be as low as 15k

i know an SM in PET in finance dept that earns 55k a month. but with PET for around 15 years already.

But base/starting for p4 is around rm11k.

Good salary if in holding. Was in Digital. Got 7 yrs exp from fresh grad. salary so slow. last pay was barely 5k. Now jump to other o&g ship. salary increase close to 300%

Nah. Same goes for digital. Cant expect the organic growth to reach higher range of the tier. You wont even get promoted to p3 if started as p1 in 7 years. Ask around about recent experience hires. Most P4, P5 commands the higher range especially in digital

If a Contract Direct Hire around 11k, what grade shall it fall under after confirmed permanent in 2 years? Will salary adjust more after become permanent? Say in Digital dept.

seems like Petronas still have the highest Operator salary. Congrats to those who have the privilege of working here.

Got offered contract post in petronas for 30% more salary then my current job (permanent). Worth it to pursue kah?

do u have the range for executive or sr exec? It seems like everyone is talking the pay range of P4,P5 which I'm not familiar of.

reason I'm asking is I'm applying for exec position, but I'm not sure what should i put in the expected salary. I'm having close to 10 years exp with current salary of 18k. Wondering if they can accept if put above 20k for exec position or do they simply put me under sr exec?
