Nobody knows for sure, even if one is working in HR. You need to bear in mind this is a very very big company.

Here's what the hearsay:
There are grade G1 - G11 (can't remember whether it goes to G11 or G12)

G5/P5 above are managers and above. The salary grades are subgroup into E category. For example G1/G2 (P1 or P2) belongs to E1 category and G3/G4 (P3 or P4) belongs to E2 category.

Bear in mind there are "salary tiers", meaning that an executive in HR will get less paid than a technical executive like eletrical engineer and an electrical engineer will get less pay that an upstream reservoir engineer. In another words, the salary for "G" grades are not evenly distributed across the companies.

Each G gradie (for example: G2) has a range (mainly depending on your skillsets like mentioned above and experience...so you can guess it, nobody will know unless you are the obnoarding HR exec that prepares for offer letter.

Last and not least, the company is dynamic...meaning that they revise the way of the salary structure works every few years...so yeah.

Any fresh graduates have experience applying to PET Digital before? I finished my GEES contract early March this year (not with PET Digital) but unfortunately unable to get an offer for permanent employment.

But I've seen a lot of posts on LinkedIn of fresh graduates getting hired by PET Digital recently, so I'm wondering if there are any of them lurking here.. How is the hiring process for freshies? Do you have to do a technical assessment? I applied for the Data Engineer position from the Petronas Career Portal btw

Anybody cna share latest recruitment process? HR called me to prepare for online assessment. Cna I know what's that and what to prepare? Thanks

Normally will be like this:

1- chit chat session with manager
2 - online assesment (cubic assesment)
3 - Competency Based Interview

The online assesment have few session. Need to be fast to answer those question.

Similar experience but this was 2020. Dragged out process with hiatus in between - not sure what happened on their end. Eventually came up with only 10% offer. Worth to highlight I was working in Penang and need to relocate if accepted the job. Easiest decision I'd ever made 😂

Fast forward 2022 I'd accepted job in KL with much better benefits and whooping 87% increment (read: from 2021 salary not 2020 while applying to Pet digital). Seems they dont value experienced talents. But maybe its the direction from top management. Just build from their Graduate program or something.

Hi, I just finish my GEES program end of March 2022, the I got a call from HR for interview on 27th April 2022. The interview was ok because my supervisor during GEES that interviewed me. So after two weeks raya, I whatapps my supervisor regarding my position,he said he will follow up, now dah nak end of June 2022, no reply from Petronas. The position they offer me process executive. My question is, memang lama ke nak dapat reply from Petronas because I check my gees member in LinkedIn all got employ early for HR and IT position 😅

Oh I see, its a 2 year contract or permanent role? Direct Hire?

I received job offer from Petronas recently after completed my Chit chat and CBI. They offered me 10% increment from my current salary and contract position for 2 years.

Still contemplating whether to accept it or not since I'll lose my permanent status over 10% increment.

Does anyone know if contract staff still entitled for bonusses and the trend in Pet whether they usually renew their contract staff, convert to permanent or terminate at the end of term?

Bonus is depends bro for CDH. Please just assume you will not get it until you being converted to permanent. It is depends on your boss to give you bonus if you are CDH.

Petronas Digital is average pay for technical. Of course you will get higher outside.

May I know how long the duration for your petronas application? Is it in 6 months? And which petronas you are in?

From chit chat to offer letter is about 3 months. Petronas group.
