I've heard, they got grouping session this time - just like the one during the UTP application.

They have new format for the SI but still use the old format depending on one's experience I believe.

There is a slight change in the the new format:

1. Case study
You will form a group of four prior to the interview. Will be given a case study. Later each person needs to present it the assessors.

2. Role Play
Select a role then act with other interviewees. Each person will have different role and the topic will be based on the case study given. The assessors will not interrupt. They will just observe.

3. Interview
Individual interview. Questions all based on your experience/achievement.

Kinda same with mine. Except I do it alone on the Case Study and Role Play. Next would be our work experience interview. Total time for my interview near to 3 hours. sweat.gif

btw, I passed my SI and now subject to job placement. Good luck to everyone. smile.gif

Top Class but only knows how to score in University exams are a dime a dozen. If you score top class honors but fail miserably in the SI, then PETRONAS will know that you only know what is in the exams/book but nothing else. PETRONAS is looking for people who are well-rounded, who can work in a team and who can carry their ego respectfully.

But did petronas only hire degree holder? I'm only a dip holder, 7 years working exp...submit my cv to petronas discovery on Jan 14, then they called me for the chit chat session next week..in the HR emails, asking for degree copy, is the HR didn't notice i only have a dip in my cv and making mistake or i really have a chance?

guys, i have a question

i have passed my SI and medical check up. now waiting for offer letter

my background is engineering but my current job is procurement (from contract to permanent).

during my SI, my assessor told me to get back to engineering while im telling him its ok for me to stay in my job. he made me until i filled my area of interest like 'engineering(instrumentation)'.

may question is, how hard it is to change to entry level engineering skill group @ OPU when you have already went for 2 years for current non-technical job? any chance for me to get back to engineering? hmm.gif

Yes, you do have a chance..But u need to continuously highlight this to your boss and try finding the opportunity by yourself. It depends on your boss too. If he/she is supportive, then it will be easy..

I was in non-technical work for 3 years before I changed to engineering even though I did highlight my preference since my first day of work. So I had a late start but eventually everything's ok.

Good luck!

went to SI today. Nothing changed. Same format like before. ice-braking > case study > CBI > role play. HR person said result within 2 weeks from today. I'm not doing well especially during role play. Hope for some miracle happens. InsyaAllah!

Question, PIPE (Petronas Induction Programme) is a must? Even for experience new recruit?

And, if I reject the offer. Does HR will blacklist our name?

Please advise. Thank you.

To confirm, pipe is a must for everyone.

Once you reject their offer, you'll be blacklisted.

May I know what position and which division did they offere?
