Hi guys,

I need to submit the Declaration Form with related docs to Petronas HR through email (softcopy). I have some questions regarding this. Which type of docs that I need to submit?

1. Scanned version of my original certificates
2. or Scanned version of my certificates copy (certified true copy)

And usually when is the due date for this documents submission? a week or two weeks after we were contacted?

is this for the TA interview? because I only need to revert the declaration form. other copy of certs/docs are to be CTC and brought with the originals during the interview session.

This is for the SI. My friends who are now in Petronas claimed the same thing too; submit the docs during the interview session. My case is different though.

I'm going to attend SI this coming Thursday. This job interview was under Petronas Chemical Sabah and to be place in Sipitang, Sabah under new project development (SAMUR).

I believe my chance to get the job quite high. There is concern for me that I need to be station in Sipitang for few years and not really interested to stay at there.

Currently, I'm doing Petronas Carigali project in Turkmenistan as DCS vendor. I would like to finish it as I saw few thing I can learn there.

So, I want to know, let say I reject the offer. Will they blacklist my name for future recruitment? Please advise.

Thank you.

sure - I wanted to share it yesterday, but gosh, I missed my flight back to Kuantan! doh.gif so, I slept on the benches at KLIA and got on the next flight yesterday...what an experience. hahaa...ok, enuf about me.

anywy, there were 5 candidates for Mechanical (Piping) position. They got 5 each for every other dept as well (MCI - I guess this is material corrosion, IC - instrument control and Mechanical (Static).

I was the last to get in, literally - 5:20pm flex.gif the HR and the interviewer kept apologizing for I had to wait that long - but definitely OK with me.

Since the session was running late, they kinda speed up things. there were 2 panels.

it was really a chit chat session at the beginning - relaxed mode.

then the real session started; brows.gif

1. introduce urself - just about ur self, if u have working exp, just save it for later - there is a dedicated question along the way.
2. they will guide u with simple questions
3. technical part - they asked for what u actually do - how do u conduct/plan ur tasks
4. technical question - since my applied position is piping - the question was about piping; material, wall thickness calculation -

# ps: if u don't know or don't do anything they ask, just say NO. it's completely OK. like myself, I don't do wall thickness calc (since my job related to brownfield (modifications - no need to design new piping), so I just say no - but I took extra effort to prepare - tried to write but missed the formula by a component - they say, it's all good. icon_rolleyes.gif

5. what code and standards u referred to - ASMEs, APIs, PTS ( at least mention basics one like 31.38.01.11 for general piping)
6. name projects that u've done - they'll jot down from there - not flipping thru ur cv - so remember ur projects by heart - name and briefly what it was about.
7. what is the pull/push factor for application
8. what is ur extra credit - mentioned things I do besides job scope - added value to the company - things like committees
9. ended with - last word from u.
10. they'll contact in 2 weeks time, if pass then move to SI.
11. now they r actually creating a pool of candidates - so, they'll rank everyone and offer them accordingly as time permits. so, just chillex.

All in all, it was a great experience. basically they'll ask basic things - at least things u do. not so technical, but more on concept.

feel free to ask more, since I think it's better if I ask what u want to know since I can keep rambling all day. hahahaa thumbup.gif
pss: don't do this during interview - keep it short and simple and convincing. if u good at English, it's a big chance to nail it. just my observation. rclxm9.gif
