Hai semua. Nak tanya. Since Petronas & its subsidiaries tengah freeze hiring process sekarang, bila ya mungkin diorang akan start semula new intake?

The last thing I was informed is (2 months ago) diorang tengah process my employment package & letter of employment. Saya ada baca kes2 sebelum ni ada yang tunggu sampai 5-6 bulan. Ada yang still menunggu macam saya sekarang?

Fuhhh MLNG. A good start for you. MLNG situated at my hometown Bintulu.

My personal advice - tolong jangan kutuk2 hometown aku tak best macam KL. Serious anda akan menghadapi kesukaran kehidupan di masa hadapan ehehehehe. Ohh jangan risau aku bukan gangster. Gua rilek2 jer.

On serious note, MLNG will makes your CV fantastic later on if you decide jumping2 to others. Trust me.

So please learn as much as possible while you working at MLNG. Built your networking. Make friends with local.

My observation is whenever peoples from Peninsular coming to my hometown and making a cynical remarks about Sarawak boring and such - those kind of things will make your stay at Bintulu an unpleasant experience which you will be dipulaukan by the locals.

Sekadar berkongsi pendapat saya. Maaf jika statement saya agak sedikit kasar. Saya tidak berniat sedemikian. Saya merupakan mindset satu 1Malaysia.

From the explanation I get from HR (from my OPU at least), they're not freezing.
Just that they're re-examining back the talent pool like focusing on staff replacement position (due to staff leaving or such), or prioritizing hires who have passed SI first.

I suspect those who passed medical but still waiting, HR might have changed policy. For example my OPU, one position changed to contract (rather than permanent) after restructuring. But might change back to permanent in future.

I made more than 10 friends in MLNG during PIPE. Some are locals there too.
All of them very friendly, maybe the ones you met before were rotten eggs of the bunch.

Yeah saya bersetuju dengan pendapat abang. Bukan semua Peninsular peoples are rotten apples, cuma segelintir sahaja. Tapi itulah kadang2 saya geram jugak bila orang Peninsular kutuk negeri Borneo saya, kerana personally saya pernah membelasah orang sebegini ketika keluar lepak2 makan dan terdengar orang Peninsular kutuk2 memang saya agak panas hati juga dan terus bertukar menjadi seekor beruang yang ganas hehehehehehe

LOL. That's the true colour of HR. Keep us hoping to much for the uncertainty. While they disappear into thin air. Damn.

I even know someone who waited close to 1 year before got the offer letter.

I wouldn't said freezing, it just that they are filling up vacancies only if really needed by the department. For my case, I waited 5 months before got the offer letter.

agreed. it's case to case basis. i've "waited" for 4years for an interview call, but it took less than 2months from TA to SI to offer letter (i even ask for an adjourn for the interview 4 times).

You either join MLNG @ KLCC team for commercial OR join ALTCO bang, also at KLCC. Lubang? Semua lubang yang aku kenal ramai dah resign and join Qatar LNG. Orang baru takde bonding kemesraan lagi sebab tak kenal langsung orang baru. Maaf bang. Saya sekadar budak mentah sahaja.
