my japanese and korean made guitar are both on par in terms of build and finishing IMO. The american strat i tested in bentley was going for 7k and the PU selector switch cover wasnt event glued on.. just fell off when i used the switch. blink.gif .. i think the low-mid end US fenders are more or less the same quality as the jap ones. just that its inspected in US which makes the price higher. i dunno .. smile.gif

Bassix : the strat looks nice.. i think its a legit fender. the ones like Everdying said wink.gif

Blacktrix : I used the money for pickups to buy myself a new graphic card to watch prOn more clearly.. need to check my budget first la biggrin.gif wasnt there a lot of ppl wanting to buy your pickups other than me? maybe the price is putting us off brows.gif jk. how much are they going for again?

Bassix? You want it? Hell, I'll trade it with that Tube Amp of yours. And since I'm such a good guy, I'll even throw in 200 bucks!!!!

BTW..... is THERE a Mesa/Boogie dealer in KL? Because I tried the lonestar in Vegas and it was VERY good....

Oh yeah..... forgot to mention....... I saw a kick a$$ Epiphone Les Paul Gothic which had Pirates Of The Caribbean 2: Dead Man's Chest graphics on it...... super sweet...... Couldn't take photos because it was in the Virgin Records store in downtown Hollywood (in the Kodak theather, where they usually hold the academy awards...... yes..... the academy awards is held in a mall) and alot of stores in US has a strict no-photos policy in their stores.

Disneyland fanatic, eh? In the past year and a half I've been to the ones in Tokyo, HK and Anaheim. If I have to go again, I'll being a shotgun and blow my head off in the Small World ride, but I'll tear my ears and eyes out first.

well the ash series strat in a real fender.
i was actually looking at that model earlier today on the fender website.
falls under fender's american deluxe series which explains its high price.

think what that guy on ebay has is a older model, cos the current ones dont have seymour duncans.
yet no idea what the MN means tongue.gif
*
Hmmm. Backtrack a bit.

AmDlx Ash Strats and MIA and expensive
MIK Lite Ash Strats are not. I guess you already now that these do come with Duncans. They're Special Ed, bilt for fender by the Korean factory under license and supervision. Same as the CIJs that end up in FenderUSA's inventory, like the Electric 12. Those are built in Japan in factories like Fujigen, and sold domestically by FJapan, but FenderUSA brings some over.

It's all in the serial numbers.

For Strats:

010/011 - MIA
013 - MIM
026 - MIK
027 - CIJ
