yesterday went to CK, JS, Bentley, Chambers and the Yamaha shop at kl plaza..
went to JS first, n Jaya Satriani was demoing the line6 head, really cool amp head, with all the effects etc. theyve got almost all the new ZOOM models, the G7.1(dun really remember which model exactly, but i think its this one) was going for 1300~
Then went to JS, tested the Vox Wah there.. i didnt like the distortion on the pedal.. the 3 wah sttings; Mo, Lo, n CBY way models were almost the same. the other two were a bit different. i tried a few settings with the Q n diff models then went off to Bentley. the price was listed as rm600 n after discount rm500, Last model etc etc..
At Bentley, my fren tested 2 ibanez guitars, i think one of them was the SZ n the other one looks abit like a les paul. the SZ neck was quite nice, easy access to higher frets bcos of the set neck n the string was thru the body. nice long sustain.
Then i tested out the 535Q Chrome since they didnt have the normal 535Q's in stock.. All i can say bout the pedal is, i like it

. the pedal's sweep was bigger than the Vox V-wah. The Boost button was a plus, but the switch is on the side, so i think it would be a bit hard to switch it on off when your playing but it supposed to be set b4 u play it i suppose.. the range settings were a LOT. n i could get the very high n low frequencies, for funk n distortion. the wah on the higher notes could be heard, unlike the wah in my GFX8. tested it for a while then shot off to Yamaha. the price for the normal 535Q was around rm500 quoted by the salesman.
At Yamaha , tested the Epiphone LP, rm2300 through a Yamaha stack. really nice n chunky sound

after discount was rm2000.
At Chambers, tested the Yamaha AES through a Cube 60. to me, i felt that the AES sound was a bit thin. the fretboard finishing was a bit bad i think.. but maybe i was spoiled by the LP i tested at Yamaha

.
After Chambers went home but the stupid Summit traffic light jam kept me waiting another 45 minutes to reach home.
btw, i went to 7 Eleven on the way back, and noticed they were selling these Prepaid Mastercards from Am Bank

. u get a mastercard, an du top up the value like a phone prepaid. max rm10,000. and the good thing is, u dont need to have a fixed salary n the approval is guarenteed

.. *off to look at online guitar offers*
Lol. it wasnt me
