Seems that Mouser and Digikey also do not have those (exotic) brands. Obviously one place you could try looking at is eBay. Alternatively can try using this cable: BELDEN - 83002 010100 - HOOK-UP WIRE, 100FT, 26AWG, CU, BLACK which has silver plated copper conductor core...

Those are inputs. Depends on which input you want to use. Most common on would be the normal RCA (unbalanced) input from most audio equipment. If your audio equipment have XLR output then simply use the XLR input. There are a few shops that caters/specialises audio equipment interconnects in Jalan Pasar (though make sure you bring sufficient funds). Since this is the KRK Rokit 5, then make sure both sides have the same volume (balance) since there are no master volume (as each speaker is independant)...

should i: a) replace the 3.5mm plug? or b) recable the whole thing (is this possible? i only see u guys talking abt recabling headphones not iems)

Depends which part of the cable is damaged, if the part is near the plug, solder another plug to it will do, if it's too far from the plug, recable is the choice, however recabling an IEM is very risky, especially when opening the shell of the IEM.

roughly how much is the cost or recabling?
freaking thing lasted 1year+ only. zzzzzzz. waste of money. never buying tdk again.
