Hi, subscribe to mb40 again.. This time probably will hit quota cause used 200mb less than 1 night.. Wanna ask ask after quota will charge payu? Or throttle.. Last time umi always only throttle me.. Now MB 40 no write unlimited so I not sure

Edit : I think I saw the website info, MB40 finish quota allowance will be charged 5cent per MB..
Finish quota allowance can unsubscribe and subscribe other plan.. There written ,to switch plan need finish quota allowance or expired validity ..

...my prepaid UMOBILE MB68-5gb just over quota these few days..., gmail has to load in basic HTML, even with that, 30 emails took me about 2 hours to finish open in chrome and reads them one by one... , it used to be 15mins or 30mins if longer, LOL... XD

download software about 20 mb, needs about 2 hours... rclxub.gif

Facebook pictures not showing up either... doh.gif

reminds me of..., the era of dialing 1515, lol... shocking.gif

I know, the speed will be reduced after over quota, seems i am using it for "free" as i am just a prepaid user..., but i didn't expect the speed is like 1515 mah..., lol....., sigh.... ... sweat.gif

i know, but like i said, i didn't know it's that slow loh..., i thought 128 is 128kbps exact for browsing, download etc loh...

Because i have been subscribing streamyx with rm66 everymonth for many years, so..., when i paid rm68 to subscribe umobile, i didn't expect it's slower than before seems it's extra rm2 expensive mah.... ~~

streamyx rm66 <------- Speed is 512kbps
Umobile after quota <----Speed is 128kbps

you must understand...
you can't compare with landline and wireless

wireless tend to have higher ping which also affect your data transmission aka slower a bit to reach for each request.

1515 era is over, back then internet content is simple
Now, Internet enrich with fantastic graphic...advertisment....which needed more quota at certain reasonable speed to be able to view it comfortably.

All telco also got peak and NON-peak hours.
it show that they (Telco) know congestion exist at that peak time.
SO it is either they lazy to upgrade their tower capacity or they wanna cut cost by increasing customer base by using peak and NON peak rules
Your guess is as good as mine.

Look around for better alternative..
i am sure there are Telco who can match your needs especially "moblity browsing experience"
But then, the cost might be high.

There always a a pot of gold at the end of each rainbow.
Dang, i use to believe that until science prove it just reflection at certain sun beam angle....etc

LTE is amazing but not to worry about the quota really fast used up. As long as you just use it like before, same data amount will be used.

For example, to open 1 youtube video which 20Mb. The data still 20MB even you use 3G or LTE, the only different is the speed to download it, LTE take 20 sec, 3G may take 1 minutes.

BUT from my own experience, when 1st start use the LTE, I tent to open everything I could think off, just to feel the speed. I use all my quota really fast, end up paying for booster. A month after that, I start back to old routine, even by billing date, still have left some quota.

Just enjoy it and you don't want to go back to old speed already.

Switch from streamyx 1.5mbps -> U-mobile MB68 end of last year due to moving to new house (New area).

The plan offer 5GB peak hour + 5GB off-peak +RM10 rebate/month = total RM100 after 10 months usage.

The speed is amazing compare to streamyx, sometimes can hit >1MB/s, but as usual, it come with data quota, which is pain for me...almost every month need to top up 2-3 times for booster.
